What is it with this ungrateful lot with the food?

I just heard Jade shouting out loudly to Jermaine "the sweet potatoes are lovely, thank you Jermaine". The others agreed.

Before that Danielle makes some sarcastic remark about the chicken (that Shilpa and her discussed for ages earlier about how to cook it to please Danielle) They (Jo, Jade and Jo) go into a discussion on the best way it should've been cooked.

Not one word of thanks to Shilpa for making the effort. The roast potatoes were also way behind time because Danielle insisted that she and Jade wanted to do them which meant the chicken had to go cold and then reheated waiting on them getting them into the oven.

What a bunch of b*tches.

To be fair. Danielle was going to cook a roast and shilpa wanted to do it. Danielle was relegated to the potatoes and veg. Shilpa having never cooked a roast asked how long the chicken would take and some of them advised her two hours. She was laughing with Jermaine saying there is no way it would take that long. So she took the chicken out early saying it would be stringy, then was hurrying the roast potatoes along which had not been in long. Danielle took the potatoes out,so that could have them at the same time as the chicken, even though they were not fully roasted ... and guess what they start serving up and Ian spots that the chicken is Pink.

Shilpa was in the wrong there imo.

Still eating the food and dirk and Ian mentioned the brocolli is great. Cleo asks how Shipa made it.

At least one or two of the others made a nice comment....but still not a word from the gruesome threesome.

Boy I think need to get a life

I think you will find that the younger girls told shilpa yesterday that they wanted a roast today and theat danielle wanted to do it.

Shilpa ignored this and decided to do it herself - she seems to have a major problem with allowing anyone else to cook the main meals

Shilpa wanted to cook the chicken for 45 mins the girls said that was not long enough and it needed to be an hour and a half at least

Shilpa decided the chicken was ready and took it out.

Danielle had to try and speed up the potatoes to catch up.

then it was discovered that the chicken wasnt cooked properly as shilpa had ignored the timings suggested so the chicken had to go back in.

As the potatoes etc had been rushed they are now ready and the chicken isnt.

i see fault on both sides - rather than bitching so much the younger girls need to be a bit more pro active and insist on being allowed to cook if they wish to.

shilpa needs to back off abit and also listen occasionally to the others and take their tastes and opinions into consideration without looking down her nose at them and constantly weeping and being offended

I can see how it irks. I think they are ungrateful at times, but I also think Shilpa takes command in the kitchen. She should stand back and let them do it. Jermaine has advised her to let them do their thing and take the consequences.

However much I despise the treatment of Shilpa, she has taken control of the kitchen and that always is a big issue in BB.

I didn't know that Danielle wanted to cook the roast. When I tuned in they were both discussing how to cook the chicken and I heard Danielle say that she and Jade were doing the roast potatoes. Jade wasn't there at the time.

I just thought it was petty at the time that Danielle insisted that Jade get involved at all when Shilpa and Danielle were working it out between them.

There was a discussion earlier between Jo and Jade and they commented that chicken earlier in the week was undercooked and one of the girls was sick. Hence the concerns.

I don't remember a housemate being sick???

Either way, Shilpa has to let go of her strong hold on the kitchen. She really isn't helping matters to be fair. It is creating unwanted tension.

Admittedly this is my first morning tuning into the livefeed and couldn't understand where the issues of Shilpa cooking were coming from.

So fair points to all re Shilpa taking control of the kitchen. Saying that these three don't need much of an excuse to bitch about her.

It's good that someone at least recognises that Shilpa was being a fool disgareeing with the women who were quite right in telling her how you roast a chicken.

Agree with that, seems there is still tension. I think Jade has also realised that the fact 75% of people had voted for JJ's band was an indication of people not liking her on the outside.

to be hojnest when it comes to bitching almost all the housemates are doing it

and those who arent are sitting nodding or listening without objecting.

the younger ones tend to be more I hate so and so because.... I cant stand it when so and so does.....

Where as the older ones mention things like class and the others being beneath them and rising above it in a very superior manner .

the second method of bitching seems to slide under the radar of a lot of viewers/forum members as it is not so plain and obvious but it is bitching never the less

JMO of course.

Goo points lessauk. Maybe some of them are better at bitching in a slient kind of way..like sniggering and laughing about something without actually saying anything. To be honest I much prefer the more vocal bitching

On another note. Were these three ever interested in moving their asses before Shilpa took an interest in the cooking? I.e. Do they really want to cook or just protesting because Shilpa is doing it all? Just a thought.

To be honest I think it's a cultural thing. Shilpa is probably used to women being far more assertive and getting on with things, and they probably see SHilpa as being pushy.

Nah, I reckon it's a case of Shilpa does what Shilpa wants.

I'm normally 100% on Shilpa's side, but if Danielle wanted to do the cooking today, I think Shilpa's in the wrong here and it could cost her a couple of extra votes for being 'controlling' in the nominations this week, particularly the swing votes like Ian and Jo.

Shilpa thinks she has to control the kitchen and tell them what they can eat and when. If I were in there she would have been wearing one of the dishes she had cooked before now. I think they are all being too patient with her and should tell her to butt out of the kitchen for once.
