How dumb can this girl get...when they were thinking of questions to ask BB for their tast, someone said "why does the leaning tower of Pisa lean?" and she said "because it was built that way!!

Can it get any worse??

Hardly the dumbest thing I've heard said in 7 years of this programme. Infact, it's not even the dumbest thing Danielle has said.

Well she's right, sort of. The foundations were poor during early construction so it was leaning when it was still being built.

But she's not wrong! stat's here the tower was not constructed vertically, it was discovered to be leaning in its first year of construction, they simply carried on building it at an angle!

Who's the dummy now?

Oh yes it was. Go and read some articles on the subject. I posted an earlier link, and there's links on that site, to a Professor of Architecture at Pisa University, who says they knew it was leaning, early on in its construction, and they carried on building it like good un's. Possible believing they could rectify it later.

Yes they knew it was leaning early on in construction but what people are trying to point out is that they never said "oh what can we build tomorrow, I know lets build a tower that leans".

They found out after commencement of construction that it was leaning and thought they could repair it after completion of construction, but they didn't set out to build it that way on purpose.

And what others are saying is that it doesn't negate what the OP quoted Dani as saying (i.e. "It was built that way") pointing out that in effect it WAS built that way, be it in a pre-meditated fashion or not.
