Anyone LIKE Jade? - Big Brother

A lot of people don't like the woman though is there anyone else out there who has warmed to Jade and actually likes her? These forums get nasty sometimes with cruel names being thrown about, yet it would be interesting to know of anyone who actually shares my opinion of her (well, at least from what I see on CBB and that what I know of her from series 3 and since)

She's no angel, far from it though in her defence she has not had much of a role model in terms of her mother, Jackiey, a person who we knew of before CBB and can certainly say will not fot forget in a hurry.

Jade may have made mistakes, some of them catastrphophic and some plain old mistakes. Yes, they may have been hurtful towards some at the time though is Jade all that bad? I don't think so.

I think she's gained much more than celebrity and an extra large bank balance. Aside from having what appear to be two well looked after children, she seems to have gained more composure and motherhood has seemingly shaped her into a better Jade.

People can be cynical about this all they like: many don't like Jade as she's been a bully in the past, because of her true social class or maybe just because of who she is. What can be said though is that she is a popular woman and regardless of what anyone thinks, is the most successful of all big brother housemates and has carved out a reported and amazing £8million bank balance! (as reported by none other than Carole Malone in todays newspaper!) Actually, Carole was rather pleasant about all the housemates including Jade. Carol went on to say how she had slagged Jade off in her column over and over yet said she'd seen a much sweeter side of her. She also said to Davina on Friday that Jade had asked her if she'd said anything bad and Carole had replied yes. Jade went on to simply shrug it off and told Carole that most people do so it was no big thing, and the two of them went on to like one another. Not sure what Jade will think of Carole calling her mother sub-normal though?!

But anyway, regardless of cash fortune and being an undesputable british celebrity, I think Jade's been a pleasant, fun, watchable housemate this time round. Again, she's still not perfect and has her flaws, though so do other housemates. She's been shown up by her mother's behaviour in the house, though considering her childhood, isn't the poor girl used to that by now? Maybe it was a wrong move to put the whole family in and maybe Jade should have thought it through more, though think Jade's probably on a journey in there, right back where it all first started, and has probably gained a lot from building on her relationship with Jackiey.

The only immdiate problem I see for her is her other half. I don't think Jack is the sort of man she needs around. Maybe it's just me, and I could be wrong but I get the impression Jack is just hanging around for his own piece of celebrity. I'm sure he's a nice guy (seems pretty boring to be honest but that's editing for ya!) though I just don't like him as a housemate. He definitley showed himself up for masturbating himself over Jade - what a fool, PJ did that to her in series 3 and he was a prat too!

I wonder how many people noticed Jade didn't recieve one nomination either? Not even from Leo. She's not been that bad, that's the reason why.

Granted, I thought it was nasty what she said to Dirk about getting the shakes without whisky - that ws uncalled for and eprsonally, I would have addressed the whisky issue at a later time if I had an axe to grind as he was wrong - though I think the whisky was intended to be solely for Dirk off BB. Felt sorry for him lying there on his own after she'd said that.

People also seem to say how bad she is for shouting at a 79 year old man. I respect my elders, though I have respect for those who respect me too. Ken was extremely disrespectful to Jade during the Manor task and that whole incident flared up due to Ken easting some cheese and crackers and did not wait to be waited on by the servants. From Ken's point of view, he was hungry and helped himself, but from a task point of view he was wrong to do so and jeapoardised the whole of the task. jade simply pointed this out to him, politely. Ken didn't appreciate it and before we knew it they were shouting at one another. Jade became aware of herself and felt bad for shouting at someone old enough to be her own grandfather. She apologised but stated her disapproval. Somehow people only remember Jade 'shouting at a 79 year old man' though why do they forget how badly he treated Jade beforehand in calling her some nasty names and insulting her? Is this ok because it's just Jade?

All in all, I think she's ok. Not perfect, as I've pointed out, but she's sound. She's doing well for herself, she's got two good kids, a doting father to her kids and security. I don't think she cares what people think to be quite honest. Carole Malone summed that up to Davina the other night - even she likes her and she's referred to Jade to have 'tumble-weed brains' in her column - very bitchy there Carole. This may just be Carole's interpretation of what a lot of people think of Jade, though what does she consider 'sub-normal' hmm?

The tribute band task was good - bring on the fun and stop the bickering

I have an intense dislike for her. She has done nothing to redeem herself in my eyes. She's an awful person and nothing short of a bully.

Didn't particularly think there was a good reason for you to waste your time posting this. I'm not here to be convinced by your opinion. Plenty of other threads to slag Jade off.

On a general note, it'd be interesting to know who would actually read all I typed...crikey, I waffle and I also type fast, though if you read all of that then well done! I suepect you didn't. In all honesty, I was prepared to give her the benefit of the doubt and if she hadn't come in to CBB with her entourage (which I think gives her an unfair advantage with nominations) I was perfectly prepared to allow my opinion to develop from her behaviour in the house. Unfortunately, I find that she is no better than she was previously - in fact I think worse because she is older (normally people wise up as they grow up) and has had many opportunities to improve herself which seem not to have had any effect on her.

Shame on her.

On another note, it's interesting to see how many people actually respond to something they wholeheartedly disagree with, just to stake their claim and make it known.. It's not as if there aren't another billion 'We hate Jade' threads. If you've done what I thought the last chap had done i.e. scanning the titles for anywhere to simply slag off Jade. then I think you should find something more productive to do.

I aint got the slightest concern with your responses. Fair enough. I'm not trying to convince anyone. I simply pointed out my opinion and wanted to know if anyone shared it.

It'll be interesting to see how many others have called by for coffee when I have sent this. Let there be a nice comment, go on, surprise me!

Tbh your post was just too long & at this time of night I could not be bothered to read more than a couple of paragraphs.
I used to quite like Jade, she amused me - not after watching this CBB, money & fame seem to have turned her into a prize b----.
I am considering giving up on this series if the bullying & racism (imo) continue.
I certainly shall not be watching any more programmes with her in them or reading any more mag's that seem to "worship" her either.

Can I just ask guys, is it anything to do with the Dirk incicent on Friday night? I have to admit, that was wrong what she said to him about the shakes and I thought that it DID amount to bullying.

Talking about being in the house this last week, what horrible things has she done that you despise her for so much...or is it because you just don't like her? I'm interested and not up for a debate.

100% right. I see no improvement either. And yes, Yea Jackie I did read the whole of your post

I just cannot find anything likable in Jade at all. It doesn't matter where she came from, who her parents are, what sort of education she's had; anybody can transcend their past if they really want to but very few have the material advantages she has acquired. She has failed (miserably IMO) to in any way benefit in any meaningful way from the good her many opportunities could have brought her.

I'm pretty much the opposite: I didn't see her on big brother first time round - I knew about her from the intial universal dislike from the media and viewers (which at the time I thought was pretty nasty treatment of a random member of the public). After the turnaround mid-BB3 where the media suddenly started praising her I figured fair enough, she must be basically OK. Subequent appearances on TV and the press seemed to indicate that she was a decent person despite being a bit "rough around the edges" or whatever.

But on CBB she's come across as a pretty unpleasant and insincere character - a lot of the time she seems to be behaving according to some self-serving agenda.
