An undercover reporter secretly filmed Islamic Iman's preaching in Britain's mosques'. (Despatches 15/1/2007)This is a fundamentalist message being spread by Saudi Arabia's clerics, through the mosques in Britain. These same mosques claim to be open to dialogue to other faiths, and to moderation.

recorded at Green Lane Mosque, Birmingham ( the Iman was abu Usamah, as well as other Iman's ). Green Lane mosque is spreading a hard line brand of Islam. This hardline is being spread by dvd's and books. This is opposed by many British muslims.

Lord Ahmed described Green Lance as his favourite spiritual place.

what abu usamah said

A 10 year old girl must be forced to wear a hijab, if she refuses you must hit her.

if children refuse to pray they should be hit.

he promoted male supremacy over women, Allah created the woman as deficient.

Take the homosexual man, and throw him off the mountain.

all non believers ( non muslims ) were described as Kuffar, we hate the kuffar

Christians and Jews are enemies to muslims. we should hate the kuffar.

whoever changes their religion from Islam, kill them

men are in charge of women.

marrying a girl before puberty is permissable.

the Underground attacks were condemned but he agreed with and promoted Jihad

thieves hands should be chopped off and adulterers flogged.

he wasnt very complementary of Jews.

aids was introduced into Africa by Christians

They are teaching muslim youngsters, who are present at these open Iman talks, to hate the west, to take up Jihad.

One preacher - Dr Mehen (? spelling)( based in birmingham) who preaches at a mosque ran by the same people as Green Lane Mosque, says British muslims should not accept British democracy, if you accept it you are a part of it. we have to dismantle it. muslims have to grow stronger then take over, you have to live like a state within a state ( multi culturalism ). one day muslims will take over Great Britain,
then introduce sharia law.

Dr Mehen is connected with UK Islamic Mission and gives talks there. It is dedicated with interfaith work, it has 6000 children in its islamic schools. Tony Blair said UK IM is valued for its multi cultural values.

basically the ultimate aims of these fundamentalist preachers ( who are of course the minority of muslims ) is to over throw the western democracies and set up sharia law.

another speaker at UK IM was a deputy headmaster at an all faith muslim school in Britain ( darul uloom islamic high school, birmingham). He said integration was wrong, he critiscised western society, critiscised democarcy.

another speaker said that muslims cannot join the police or armies, and fight for the kuffar.

all this hatred is being spread by Saudi backed clerics, through Iman's in mosque's throughout Britain to the next generation of young muslim.

Is this a ticking time bomb for the future? Imagine if all this hatred was being preached in christian churches up and down the country?

This is a TV Programmes or Politics thread, surely?

Wahabists have about as much to do with the majority of British Muslims as the Ku Klux Klan or "pro-life" abortion bombers have to do with the majority of US Christians, in my opinion.

You say in your post that the majority of British Muslims oppose the hardline preached by the above. If that's the case, then maybe your thread title is a little misleading as not all of Britain's mosques are preaching intolerance and hatred.

Love the "ticking time bomb" imagery, though - very evocative.

I think its discusting in any religion making hatred , if people really belive in god and really read the bible propaly they will learn that god is love not war, god hates war, god is love .

I recorded the Despatches special (Jan15/2007), and saw it today. Quite shocking stuff......I would have to say in order to avoid a generation of home grown bombers, the people running the country need to do some thing about it.......afterall much of what was said must have broken several laws (at least!).

Why would a loving god want people to kill and hate each other in his name, the bible says love each other like god is loving you , make your heart pure and love one another, that what it says.

As for the Hatred and killing each other thing in gods name, nah people are not killing in gods name as god dont like it, there killing in the devils names satans name, there doing work of evil.

SOME mosques, according to a TV programme. I watched Dispatches last night and agree with David (2) that the hate preachers on the programme must have broken some laws, in which case they should be prosecuted under those laws with all due haste.

I'm not sure it's grounds to start rounding up British Muslims en masse and throwing them in internment camps, though, even taking into account the "21/7 bombers" currently in the dock.

I rarely frequent The TV/Politics Forums and it is good to be informed of such events/programmes on the GD forum.

And the subjest matter is perfectly valid on a disussion medium..

Why do you always say "Shouldn't this be on TV/Politics/Chatter forum" when such threads are started?

Well 5:51 is so obviously false. Christians and Jews have a long history of not getting on, or was all that persecution of Jews through most of the last few centuries made up? Historical accounts say it wasn't and they are a lot more reliable than any holy book.

Of course it isn't hard to find these sorts of things in any of the major religious books. The whole lot is intended to brainwash the believers and condition them to spread their own religion, either peacefully or, if that doesn't work, by force.

These are not actual quotations from the Quran though are they, Just interpretations by some people who have decided to post their interpretation on the net. To understand the true meaning of the Quran it is best read in arabic.
