Shilpagate: best thing that could have happened to Jade?

I've been wondering whether this furore over Jade and co's racist comments might not turn out rather well for Jade. Here is a woman who has managed to accumulate a sizeable fortune from giving interviews about herself to downmarket newspapers and magazines and making dingbat appearances on TV shows.
She has no skills: no album, movie or TV show to promote (although she has launched a perfume). Her real product seems to be herself (which, in a strange way makes her more like Princess Diana than Shilpa is - despite what some posters say).
Now she's got a new story and is suddenly newsworthy again (and she's always at her most newsworthy when she's being loud and aggressive). I think Jo and Danielle have been damaged by this episode, but does anyone else think that in Jade's case there's no such thing as bad publicity?

It may be the best thing for Jade...IF this whole mess leads to her finally understands that she has an anger problem and gets proper, profession help to change.

I have to say I disagree. People can laugh at stupidity which was the secret to Jades success imo where as it is very hard to laugh at or with someone tainted by the term racist bully. I don't believe that there is very many who will welcome her back. I think and hope that we have seen the end of the Jade era.

Some posters were saying that maybe it spells the end to the era of celebrities with no talent like Jade or Jordan or Jodie etc. Unfortunately I don't think we are that lucky and am keeping my eye out for who the media are going to replace Jade with.

It will be a sad indication that the GBP haven't learnt a thing from this whole debacle if Jade rises from the ashes yet again.

Exactly, although she has bullied before and still hasn't learnt anything or changed, so i don't hold much hope with this episode

I agree! Wholeheartedly!

Jade's best bet now, is to play it safe. She should keep a relatively low profile. Once she comes out of rehab, she ought to go for an image makeover. That always helps. Then stick to being seen, just now and again. Its best if Jade isn't seen going out to nightclubs, but instead, to tip the press off, when she's helping an old lady accross the street, or simply shopping at a regular supermarket - always smiling demurely.

She could also do some volunatary work in a charity shop. That would go down really well and soon, the public will be eating out of her hand again and she could resume her earning capacity. But it all has to be handled with great care. I'd leave the cheapo mags, and giving interviews. I'd try to make friends with Carole Malone and feed her tidbits - but only good ones that would endear her to the public.

The only good thing is, if she does re-invent herself, she will never ever do another reality show.

I don't buy the mags she's in or read the papers so the only time I came across her was on TV. With any luck, I'll be spared that in the future.

Nope, her career is a dead-man-walking. No one would wish to be associated with a stupid, aggressive thugette who is now a self confessed bully and widely seen as a racist.

That's the whole point - she only had her stupidity and gob to trade on from BB3, now her gob and attitude have exposed her completely.

I can't see how anyone with a media career would wish to be associated with her. The Heat style mags will drop coverage of her in the next couple of weeks once her infamous conduct has passed it's Disgusted Of Tunbridge Wells date.

It's actually the best thing that could have happened as it may go towards influencing young kids that she is not a role model for any of them.

...
Is the widely seen as a racist?

I have a sinking feeling that the charge of racism will come to seem excessive and that, because the focus was on racism, the bullying will be forgotten (again).

If she claims to be rahabilitated in the weeks or moths to come she won't be able to do the planned Goody reality show, as this was all planned to take advantage of the idiotic and aggressive way her and her mother behave.

She will have to show she's moved on and unless she gets production input and power of veto, the reality show will show, nothing has changed as i don't believe it will!

If Jade was to reinvent herself, she'd end up leaving her target audience behind.

On the other hand, her little display on CBB is the perfect trailer for a reality show about a family of ignorant, insensitive halfwits. I wonder if the target audience for the Goody reality show is more or less likely to watch as a result of CBB. Perhaps more.
Does anyone know how far into the production process this TV show was?
