Food: GDAs or Traffic Lights?

The issue of food label has hit the headlines again.

BBC News

I prefer the GDA scheme. When I look at Kit-Kat, I can clearly see that it's 12% of my daily calorie allowance, and that I really shouldn't eat it (although I often still do )

I actually find the traffic light scheme a bit harder to use. How many ambers a day, how many reds a day? I presume in an ideal world I'd eat all greens, but realistically that isn't going to happen.

Which scheme do you prefer?
