Re: Breakfast Radio vs Breakfast TV

Hi All
I am not sure what Thread this really should be posted in, as it covers both Radio and Television. So please do forgive me, if this is in the wrong area.

Now I know that some years ago, when he was on Virgin Radio in 1997, Chris Evans, had his Breakfast Show, simalcast on Sky One for an hour in the mornings.

And what with Alex Dyke's show[Isle of Wight Radio], now being shown on the new Solent TV Channel.

I just wondered, what with the lack of Breakfast TV on Channel 4 and 5 and the limited hours on BBC 3/4 etc.

Whether you would not only watch, but also listen if the like of the following were to be broadcast on TV in the mornings on the of the above mentioned channels?.

1: Terry Wogan
2: Johnnie Vaughn
3: Tony Blackburn
4: Jamie Theakston

or even the possible presenters who could replace one of the above?.

1: Johnnie Walker
2: Richard Allinson
3: Johnathon Ross
4: Chris Evans
5: Danny Baker

I certainly doubt that anything of that nature will ever happen...Five and C4 already have their schedules in place; and they must think they can work? Local radio on a dedicated national TV channel isn't a great idea...And if they're actually in the area - isn't it weasier to tune in via radio than TV?

However, Johnny Vaughan on Channel Four in the mornings again...
