If RHCP's Stadium Arcadium was a Single Album...

...which tracks off the double album would make your cut?

Mine would be:

1)Dani California – 4:43
2)Snow ((Hey Oh)) – 5:35
3)Charlie – 4:37
4)Tell Me Baby – 4:07
5)Desecration Smile – 5:02
6)Readymade – 4:30
7)Stadium Arcadium - 5:15
8)Torture Me – 3:44
9)Slow Cheetah – 5:19
10)Storm in a Teacup – 3:45
11)If – 2:52

The critism that every double album gets is that if it was just a single album it would be soo much better!

To be honest, this new album hasnt done anything for me! I found it really bland and over produced! Storm in a Teacup and Turn it again are the only 2 songs i liked!

I wasn't critising the length of the album and i'm not suggesting it should be a single album, I was just wondering how people would put it together if it were to be a single album.

I don't believe there is anything wrong with double albums at all. In fact one of my favourite albums ("In Your Honor" by the Foo Fighters) is a double album and i can hardly fault one song and the concept of a "loud" and "quiet" cd.

I think the only reason it ended up being a double album is that they would have wasted a lot of songs they had otherwise. It IS difficult to merge it into one album. They probably should have kept it as a double album but lost 4 tracks or so from it, and tried to give each disc structure instead of what it's like now which is almost random song after song. Whatever, these are the 14 I would choose -

1. Dani California
2. Snow (Hey Oh)
3. Charlie
4. Stadium Arcadium
5. Hump de Bump
6. She's Only 18
7. Warlocks
8. Wet Sand
9. Desecration Smile
10. Tell Me Baby
11. Readymade
12. Animal Bar
13. Storm In A Teacup
14. Turn It Again

I think the naff tracks are Strip My Mind, C'mon Girl, She Looks To Me, Hard To Concentrate and If.

Actually, it would be stupid to leave 21st Century off, AND Death Of A Martian. I'd get rid of Storm In A Teacup and Warlocks and replace them with them.
