Big Brother - no phone scandal yet! Now that's a shocker!

If there was one program to be caught out first i naturally would have thought Big Brother. So far, so good.

There will probably be a "BB Phone Vote Scandal" about 3 or 4 into the show, particularly if it turns out the %s of those up for eviction are very close

A couple of years ago, I was watching a live feed via my motorised satellite system of a BB finale and saw with my own eyes, that whilst on channel 4, they were actively encouraging people to phone in and vote still, the actual winner had already been chosen and they were rehearsing how they would make their exits and what they would say and what would be said to them. I did record it so may still have the avi file somewhere. This was happening aprrox 20 minutes before the actual winner was announced.

So many others seem to be at it, nothing would surprise me.

You could be right, however I have always had doubts about the voting system since BB3 When Jonny (forgot his surname) came second

i'm not saying it is fixed but if you asked me a few weeks ago, name one program which is likely to be fixed i would have assumed Big Brother.

Just watching ch5 news update now and they announced that the name of a member of the production screen was once put on screen as a winner on one of those programmes and on 4 (I think, maybe 5) other occasions fictional names were put on screen as winners.

You couldn't make that up could you!! Maybe BB is the cleanest as they have always stated they have independent adjudicators. And most of their time has been spent fending off outside betting coups rather than elevate income levels.BB is one I would expect to be cleanest.

You'd expect it to be, wouldn't you? I'm really starting to wonder now though. What a mess!

No phone scandal yet?

All that "getting the mugs to vote out Nikki then vote her back in again" scandal which led to a fine must have been a figment of my imagination then.

If you could find the AVI I'd love to see it

If you find it you should put it on Youtube and let 'em smoke it. Forward to Ofcom too.

they brief contestants to do should they win, or shoudl they come 2nd.

this is completely normal, and happens on every show, not just big brother.

I have a feeling the knives will be out for Big Brother soon and I think its a good thing. I have thought the whole voting prosess was dodgy for a few years now.

I see on the news, the police may be called in to investigate possible fraud, C5 have suspended all their premium rate services, and a ex TV boss believes there is plenty more to come.

I think it is a case of watch this space!

I've also just noticed something else having read my copy of The Guardian this morning, and that is... guess which production company makes the TV programme that is at the centre of the Channel Five controversy.

Yes, my friends, Endemol is becoming a very dirty word in broadcasting.

Also, I have noticed that it has been mentioned in this thread already as well, and I am surprised at myself that I missed it.

Funny, it wasn't mentioned in my Daily Sport!

I thought it was just ITV programmes that were being investigated at the moment.
