I've no personal experience but there'd be mutterings if it didn't work!

I read up on this a while back and apparently it works fantastic. A lot of domestic internet accounts have a monthly cap on the data though and streaming TV will use it up very quickly.

BTW - it is not just for satellite. It has a Freeview decoder built in or can be connected to any other video source and has an IR relay to control such a source.

It's pretty good - I have only used it in the house and not elsewhere yet. I can't record on my HDD drive either but can playback etc.

The only thing I have found is I can't send emails anymore since I installed the software

We have the Virgin/Telewest broadband connection.

I've had mine about a week and I'm finding that it is very good, I'm happily watching the Cricket World Cup at work!

My connections are Virgin L broadband (400k upload) to BT Business Broadband (2mb download I think) and no problems. Remote works fine on my Sky+ box though you have to get used to the key presses taking a second or so to get through and reflect on the 'screen'.

I had no problems with the software other than realising you just throw the install CD away and download the software from Sling's site. Configuration of port forwarding on my Linksys router was very easy.

Totally reccomended if your upload speed is good enough and you are able to get to your home router from the desired viewing location, it is the sort of thing most corporate firewalls would block!
