NTL/Virgin Media Help
Hi Everyone,Need some help with Virgin Media deals.I have been reading the forums for a couple of months now, still don't understand what I need to do to get a good deal.To start,I have been an NTL constumer from since it basically started.I currently have an extra cable box in a bedroom which has been faulty for some years as I moved the cable from 1 room to another and had to cut the cable plug off to squeeze it threw.I also had cable tv in the living room up until about 4 months ago when an ntl cable van pulled up and told my mom that "someone phoned to get rid of it" which was lies.So much has been going on I just never bothered ringing them about it.Since they offer free disconnect before the end of March I'd like some help on what to do or say to get a good package.Note,My cable tv is still the basic anologue, not digital.I'd like digital in 1 room and maybe freeview in the other, but I'd like the L or maybe XL deal.I have 4 mb broadband, that will do as when the 20 mb is avaliable then maybe the 10mb will be upgraded from the 4mb.Phone dosen't matter at the moment as there are hardly any calls used by it. Can anyone advise me what to say when I call? I was going to try the move to sky option, but knowing me I'll mess it up :s thanks in advance.

maybe others are having trouble reading your question - I know I had to read it several times for it to make sense.
(and I'm still at a loss) |

Call 150 and follow the option for "thining of dropping VM services". Just talk to them, no need for clever tactics or sneaky tricks, as you are a long standing customer, you will qualify for a Loyalty discount. Exactly what you will get depends on lots of things, just ask.

So you cut the plug from the cable yourself?
Might have a problem as they could say you tampered with the equipment? They cut the cable off in the one room, not the one you moved yourself? Where you allowed the two boxes to start with? Why didn't you report the faulty box? Why pay for a faulty service? Just phone 150 and explain and ask what deals are going. Last edited by donna255 : 29-03-2007 at 07:36. |
