sky box on the wall?

Hello, i tried this question on a less specific forum, thought i'd try here too.
I'm in the process of putting my old sky box in our kitchen, i'm putting a 17 inch flat screen telly on the wall and i'm looking for a neat way of sticking the box on the wall too.
I can find plenty of brackets for the telly, but nothing suitable for a skybox.
Does the sky box have to be kept vertical to work?
Has anybody got any suggestions?

if it's a standard box, stacking it vertically should be fine.

I have my HD box on a "floating shelf" on my wall and wires behind the wall

admittedly you will need to run off coax but do you not have a cupboard where you could hide the box or a larder and use a magic eye to control it.

A magic eye via coax doesn't have to be used - an infra-red extender costing around £25 will do exactly the same thing.

I'm assuming in your original Q you meant to ask if the Sky box had to be horizontal. It doesn't.

Simple angle brackets to support the weight of the box, plus heavy-duty velcro tape on the box and on the wall itself to hold it in position, will hold the Sky box vertically on the wall. Works fine, just make sure there's space around the ventilation holes. I use it this way in a caravan for a Sky+ box, and it's worked fine for years.
