Cascada album

Anyone here bought this? Is it any good. Thinking of getting it as I've liked the singles. I see she's covered Kids In America too.

Kids in America is a great cover and i love 'another you', its a brilliant ballad! I also really like 'bad boy'.

Has anyone else noticed that all the videos are shot and edited in a desperate attempt to hide the fact that she's a proper fat lass?

ps. her 'album' is dreadful. Electric Oompah music for not-too-bright girls with very, very straight hair to play loudly in their Corsa on the way round to an undemanding McJob/nail salon/Lee's House (delete as applicable)

Love the comments both good and bad about Cascada’s album! All I would say is if you like buy it, if don’t then don’t buy it.

One comment I would like to take issue with is the description of Natalie Horler as “a proper fat lass”. True Natalie isn’t a size zero like some girl singers, you know the ones who look like they need a darn good meal.

Yes, true the videos seem to be edited in a certain way but looking at the latest video for Never Ending Dream, Natalie is wearing even less!! I love the fact that Natalie isn’t a size zero and has what I would describe as a genuine figure!

In Natalie’s favour is that she has the most amazing blue eyes, a truly infectious smile and (typical bloke comment coming up) a gorgeous pair of legs!!! The videos prove this!! lol

Having seen some of her live performances on YouTube she can sing, I especially love her slow ballad version of Every Time We Touch, and listening to a recent podcast on Clubland FM, Natalie comes across as genuine, down-to-earth kind of girl who seems to love what she does and gets great enjoyment from her performances. Also she doesn’t seem to take herself too seriously, which in the world of music is refreshing change!!!!

I agree, Natalie Horler is the best looking woman in music! personally I think size 0 models/women are disgusting...

"Everytime we touch" is one of the best songs of 2006 for me, it is the song of the summer of last year and I love it. It makes me smile, that summer was so great, but sad at the same time because this summer's looking like it's not going to be
Still!
Back on topic!
Cascada rocks (not literally)

I just saw the advert for this on tv

every single song they played, every single one, had the exact same beat!!

they changed songs and the backing track was exactly the same

never heard anything so lazy, sounded really bad

Agree with you 100% !!!

But hey at least this album only consists of just over 50% covers and some old Siria project songs !!

Not only lazy also a lack of genuine talent and ideas !! It's just a cynical marketing exercise to cash in on the success of the last covers/tribute album !!

Also the latest single (a cover of course ! ) has two CDs available....

WHTM + remixes. The other WHTM + Last Christmas !!

KERCHING !!!!!!!!!!!!!

here's a snippet of each song...

http://www.juno.co.uk/ppps/products/292584-01.htm

......a good job they're separate othewise you wouldn't know where one finished and the next one started

Sad to say the album will sell in great numbers !

I wasn't expecting much from this album so I was quite shocked by how many of the songs I liked. These in particular are pretty good:-

Perfect Day
Runaway
Who Do You Think You Are
What Do You Want From Me
Could It Be You
Endless Summer
and both versions of What Hurts The Most, especially the ballad version.

I even quite enjoyed the Avril Lavigne and Pink covers!

This is original material from the German trio and it's said that they may have the guts to release it as their 2nd single

Well there are four covers on the album yes, but the majority is their own material.

Perfect Day or Runaway would make great second singles, I have no idea why AATW want What Do You Want From Me as the new single.

Interestingly enough, the most popular song on ITunes being purchased from the album (apart from the new single) is Just Like A Pill!

got the album...didn't pay thank goodness !

there are five covers (WHTM is on there twice !) and there are two old Siria Project singles !

So after 18 months they've got 6, at most, original songs....not too bad for them I suppose ? After listening to them they do sound very familiar ?

Let's be fair, 99% of the buyers will never have heard of Siria - and that still make eight tracks on the album the Cascada people composed.

And yes, apart from the ballads, they've always used that same bassline in every track. It either annoys you or it doesn't I guess. I suspect eventually they'll have to move away from that to keep people interested but for now why change a winning formula.

I know it doesn't do much for my credibility but I like the album, I just take it as face value and it helps pass the time on a long journey into work!

Some truth in that ! But those true Chavettes out there will have heard of it and after waiting some 18 months for somthing 'new' it wouldn't really matter what Horler was given to sing (live hopefully) it would sell !

Yes true it's inoffensive, cheesy, Euro pop that they're now dishing out.

Hopefully they may change...otherwise they'll end up covering....

Boom, boom, boom, I want you in my rooooooom !! A true classic...don't write 'em like that anymore !
