Say for example a murderer... even if you know what they did was completely horrific but you find them attractive purely on a physical level. is it wrong? surely people cant help who they fancy??

I gues most people would be a bit disgusted by what the guy had done. It reminds me of the catherine Tate sketch I guess.

I remember when the West case was big news finding Steven west really attractive and being a bit shocked (although obviously he wasn't a murderer)

Steven son of Fred

Fancying Fred (or Rose) might have been a bit scary.

I used to post on a message board where there was a poster who had a crush on Ian Huntley. Now I found that pretty sick TBH.

I suppose it depends what they have done. If they are just a rough gangster type maybe its not bad, but if they are rapists and murderes then its probably not a good idea.

There was a punk song 30 odd years ago about a young bloke who fancied Myra Hindley.
I thought Ian Huntleys girlfriend was quite attractive, can't remember her name. But I'd never go approach anyone like that as I couldn't live with the thought of the crimes they'd commited or been associated with.

I always had kind of a crush on Susan Atkins, one of the Manson Family.

And Leila Khaled, when she was younger.

Are you talking about the plastic gangster type that hangs round the park drinking cider and bragging about the scar he got in a fight which he really got when he fell off his little sisters bicycle?

Or are you on about the real gangsters that run protection rackets, launder money and actually commit murders?

It depends on how hot the person is and how heinous the act they've committed is.

If the person is INSANELY hot then its OK to like them even if they've been a genocide mastermind.

However if they are average then......well a parking fine is probably terrible enough to say forget it.

I think I'd be able to take an objective view on anyone's looks and see them as handsome or attractive purely on a physical level... but fancying them is something else. So, no, I don't think it's wrong to think someone is hot even if they've done something terrible.

However, if I knew someone was a serial killer and total psychopath I don't think I'd be able to fancy him or have a crush regardless of how much of a looker he happened to be. There needs to be something going on beyond pure physical attraction for me to move from a 'oh, he's nice looking' to 'oh, I really quite fancy the pants off him!'
