I've just checked the 'secret channel' on Sky and it's showing E4 not the test card now!!

It's getting closer and looks like Sky viewers are getting the red button!!!

Doubtful, they would need to pull one of the +1 channels to do that and that seems unlikely.

I had red button last year on telewest and would think that now its owned by virgin and they are sponsoring the show there will be red button this year too

I hope so. Last year it was NTL I was with and I ended up subscribing for live feed on the PC. I'd prefer to have the red button on the telly though.

Yeah it has E4 now....NTL's E4 red button usually comes on about half way through the show! Praps it will be from the start this year cos of the sponsership,but somehow I doubt it cos they stated last week that they didn't know yet if it would be from the start this year.

yes they are, dodgy box has a channel called bb (showing test card) the engineer's menu is showing a channel called BB.

Any idea of the channel number or do you just select normal E4 and then press the red button?

How would Channel 4 be able to use one of ITV's channels for a competing service?

(pretty sure it is being used for an ITV +1 channel anyway)

what about all the spare channels when sky took sky 1 and news back. surely virgin would be able to use one of them or does it have to be c4. i think it will be on e4 via red button.

Exactly - Virgin Central 2 or "121" for example. It would be pretty poor of Virgin Media to sponsor the show and then not give their customers the chance to watch it!

That part of the discussion was about Freeview not VM

It looks very likely VM will have it, people have seen test channels!
