Ziggy = Good, Nicky = Bad...Thanks for telling me BB

Tonight's highlight show was all about setting Nicky up really wasn't it?

Yes she gets obsessed with food. I think most people are aware of that.

But tonight's HL show was completely structured to set Nicky up as the next hate figure and pleading with us to like Ziggy.

Yes they showed some of the wine stuff from last night, but did anybody see how everything was structured around it?

We had a Diary Room sequence of Nicky showing us that she isn't obsessed with men and that they aren't the most important thing to her....cut to Davina to remind us that Nicky is a man hater.

We've got BB spoonfeeding us about what we're supposed to think here.

Ziggy is featured in the same wine segment from last night, and I believed that Ziggy was drawing the argument onto himself when Nicky was trying to bite her lip and do her nails.
Ziggy brings the argument onto himself, then when Nicky takes the bait he's doing his "I don't do this shit routine" again and is running away.

This time Davina is saying "Ziggy Zig AWWWW"

Don't 'Aww' the arsehead Davina.

Nicky has her faults, as do all of them, but the show appeared to be all about telling us that Nicky is bad and that Ziggy is good.
It was so blatant.

They really love this Ziggy guy and anybody who goes against him is labelled as a villain.
BB kisses his arse and he can do no wrong in their eyes.

I hadn't looked at it like that, but now you point it out ...

BB want to have their couple. And they want to show they made a good decision by putting Ziggy in as the first man. Which they obviously didn't

I thought the programme made him look like a cock-end.

I know, I know. Not difficult.

The way I saw it, she brushed him off with her (annoying) I'm really not bothered routine and then she whipped the others up about it as soon as he walked out. She then followed him to the bedroom and attacked him with her troops behind her and told him not to shout at her when she was being extremely forceful herself. And as it turned out, he did appear to have been sharing rather than hogging the wine.

Ziggy IS good and Nicky IS bad.

She's got issues and she does it with everyone. Ziggy was just the unlucky sod that got the lastest Nicky outburst. She went postal and before too long she'll be going home.

And when the time comes, I hope she sits and watches her 'best bits' video over and over and over again, as she sits alone in her room, and gets the clue that she's an UNHINGED MOANER who need professional help.

We could have weeks and weeks of Davina cooing over the Ziggy-Chanelle "romance".

Sickening.

I understand what you mean, but tbh a girl Nickys age should learn to get all the facts and not jump to conclusions before getting so raging about something. She looked a real idiot imo...

And even if it's wrong for Ziggy to draw the argument out of her...she shouldn't be sitting raging over stuff she's got the wrong end of the stick over surely?

Get all the facts first Nicky...then get angry/ upset rather than fume inanely to yourself and creating an atmosphere in the house.

But then it's easy for me to sit at home and say that lol

But in this edit Charly started that segment by saying that some people had more than others. They then accuse him of finishing off some booze and he then clocks old thunderface...Y'know...the girl who later supervised the redistribution of strawberries FFS!! and then said she didn't think she'd eat the next day....'more food for everyone'

Her martyr complex has been developing on live feed without BB nursing.

It doesn't matter about that...you can agree or disagree with the edits, the point I'm making is that BB ARE nursing them and it's that mainly which I'm making a point about.
It doesn't matter if you like or dislike Nicky or Ziggy, I'm not talking just about the edits, I'm talking about the way that the show was structured around the edits.

A select choice of Nicky in the diary room that fits to their stereotype, and the comments by Davina about both Nicky and Ziggy.
Whatever the detail of the edits they can be viewed subjectively, it's the additional bits of the show structured around them which force an interpretation of those edits onto us.

I agree with the points you are making.

These are the sort of things that start the annual 'chosen one' conspiracy theories.

That was pretty much how the day went.

Nicky's DR comments were entirely consistent with her VT, and many of her expressed opinions in the house. Hardly unfairly selective, unless you think she talked about something radically different - maybe food rations, although she worked that in too.

They were pretty light on Nicky given how long her and Charley spent winding each other up to confront Ziggy in front of the other HMs.

It's only a matter of interpretation as to whether Nicky was biting her lip or waiting for the opportunity to pounce.

Considering she then worked herself an indignant strop in front of all the other HMs and then following Zig into the bedroom, I think far from biting her lip, she was anxious not to let the opportunity pass and to put Zig in his place.

The fact that she was wrong didn't matter to her, nor did her behaviour towards Zig because rather than apologise (as he had for raising his voice) she just turned around saying 'well that's okay then'.

Afterwards she went out to the garden and was still blaming Zig, apparently because he hadn't made clear his drinks distribution to everybody (i.e. her).

BB didn't have to frame Nicky to make her look like some overly-controlling, belligerent, man-hater - she did that herself.

You don't want to accept how badly Nicky behaved.

[Something no-one has pointed out is one of the twins 'lost' their wine, while an unclaimed glass of wine was divided out by Nicky and others amongst themselves...was that the twin's glass? So when Ziggy gave his glass to her, was he in fact compensating for the glass that all the crusaders for 'fair shares' had divided among themselves?]

On top of that there is the hypocrisy in the standards Nicky applies to Ziggy who she was all too keen to believe was gorging himself, compared to her mate Charley who had, but went unchallenged - it seems Nicky's crusades for fairness are quite selective.

The highlight shows have always been about telling the viewers what to think.

Nicky is a pain though.

I know but they are not a couple by what Zig told Charley. In the bathroom he told her the other day that he was getting bored with Chanelle, and had told BB in the diary room as he wabnted to let her down lightly. However, he said that she is a big girl and that she would be ok. Why is he telling this all to Charley? He then tells Chanelle that he want s to be in there with her for as llong as possible

Copied of dsbb ticker
In what was an intimate moment, Ziggy told Chanelle: "I want to be in here with you for as long as possible."

He then went on to explain that she was the reason he had survived the past week, adding: "I've got your back and I know you've got my back."

I agree. Well I think him behaving like a 10 year old who got told off by running to the bedroom and getting under his duvet made him look like a cock-end. Well that anll all his other nauseating personality traits that is..
