The nominations manipulation has got to stop...

As if it wasn't bad enough that they have screwed with the nominations again this week, and i just read this on the live updates...

Seány is complaining to the housemates that Big Brother forced him to change his nominations three times saying they told him: "it had to be something affecting me."

FFS, people used to nominate each other for all sorts of reasons, now it seems like BB are making them change their minds until they are happy with the result.

I don't think anyone is protecting Charley.

that really sucks..
if a persons behaviour in the house is affecting or upsetting other HM's, then that is a valid reason to nominate.

How its seen in the outside does depend on who he tried to nom first tho..

Not at all - C4 would just love to see her humiliated with a massive vote and endless booing on Friday night. Suit their Politically correct image perfectly!

Duh!

BB would not try and get them to vote particular people, he probably did not give valid reasons for the people he first chose

Surely Big Brother is influencing nominations in that case

Of course there is the possibility as well that they are exaggerating this because it´s easier to figure out who voted for who.

IMO it´s a disadvantage for the actual people nominating when the nominators are so few. Much easier to figure out if someone voted for you and that that person is likely to hold a grudge. So it´s actually smart, imo, to make like BB kept pushing you so hard that you changed your mind 3 or 4 times. That way the nominated people might be less vengeful thinking BB forced them into this when the simple truth could be that BB just forced them for a valid reason while they tried to go easy and say something like "I think most people would be happy if I voted for this person".

Or something like that

I think Seany doesn't quite get it. You don't have to change who you've nominated, you have to change why you've nominated

Eg: You say 'I've nominated A because A was nasty to B'

BB replies that your reason has to be something which affects you

You say 'I want to nominate A because A breathes through their mouth when they eat and I find it disgusting'

Not that hard is it?

This really does have a whiff of corruption about it. One would've thought they'd clean up their act after last year's rigging, but clearly they don't give a flying frig any more. They probably won't even pretend to support fairness.

Yes, but he should not have been made to change the person he nominated as a result. It is always difficult to give reasons for nominations, and he has only been there two days.

BB won't listen, they know best! It doesn't matter what the majority of BB viewers want (which is decent tasks, interesting housemates and NO nomination manipulation), they want to cater for the troll viewers who aren't happy unless HM A is killing HM B while screwing HM C, who bitched about HM D and HM E with HM F. Interesting tasks and normal nominations do not make headlines and do not cause controversy.

Also BB have never heard " if it ain't broke, don't fix it"

I guess we will have to wait and see who the refused noms were, and who is actually up before any of this makes sense..

Why don't you wait and see what really happened. BB are not going to be stupid enough to get Seany to nominate who they want when it is going to be shown and we can all see what happen. They are under the spot light and are not stupid

Interesting theory, imagine BB punishing Emily for what she did and then the house and the public wanted Charley out first, it isnt sending out the PC message that BB wants to be portrayed as doing. (After the CCB fiasco)
They want to wrap her in cotton wool so they can go 'Look, we are a PC show.
If Charley was a nomination, and he had to change, then this whole show is a farce.

It sounds very much like Aussie BB nominations. Over there, you cannot nominate for the group, but it has to affect the person nominating directly.

So if for example I nominated Frank because he is so rude to Betty. That isn't a valid reason. However, if I nominated Frank and said it's because he was rude to me. That would be fine. I could also nominate Frank and say he was rude to everyone and that made me feel very uncomfortable.

It's all a matter of wording and how picky BB is feeling. You don't really have to change the people you want nominated, you just need to use the correct words.

They are definitely not stupid enough to show it, but they can edit it however they like.

surely it is valid if you feel strongly enough to nom that HM because of that incident?
It must have upset you a sufficient amount or you wouldnt consider nominating them..

So that Seany can tell the truth when he comes out, think about it, BB did not get him to vote for who they wanted him to.
