Do you mean liven this thing up?

Yes it was boring tonight.

Charley is causing an atmosphere and they need more alcohol cos if they're bored then we are.

I've said it before but they need more tasks that are actually fun for the hm's and more involving that go for longer. It's been a long long time since a good task on Big Brother. I can't think of one in BB7 to be honest.

The spy task in BB6 was great.

I think it has more to do with the dearth of amusing or compelling HMs.

Proper toss this year, even my missus, the biggest BB fan ever turns it over. Rubbish gimmicks, awful housemates, just an absolute disaster...

Got to disagree. The HM's are no worse, or better, than any previous HM's. Things must be going on in there, and if they are not, then it's the producers job to liven it up. It seems to me that they don't care, due to so many people scared to miss an episode in case they miss something (myself included). I'm bored to tears, but I can't see myself missing an episode. Similar to addicted soap fans, really. Difference is soap isn't reality, and many do switch off when it gets boring. Even the less addicted keep BB on their schedule.

I also disagree it's the housemates fault completely. I think last years Big Brother would've been heaps better had the producers actually come up with something to liven the house up more.

Something to really keep them on their feet.

I think the reason BB5 was so good is because it was so drastically different from what had happened before that the housemates were always on their toes. They need to recapture the sensation.

its rubbish

we all know it really
Yet we continue to watch out of some kind of misguided loyalty and a hope that it JUST has tot get better . I mean it will warm up eventually won't it??

Come on producers = sort it.

I mean I even preferred watching George Galloway last weeek!!!!!

I am disappointed it's so boring. I watched a couple of minutes of tonight highlights and couldn't stand it. I switched over to Five and watched Paul Merton in China It was a million times more entertaining than BB!!

The producers seem to be making it up as they go along. Its almost as if they have no plans for any tasks, they send in booze when they feel like it rather than when the HMs have earned it, and they let them talk about nominations all day as well as letting them sleep in the afternoon.

In past years, the shows have had a pre-planned feel with all the tasks in place before the series starts. It just doesnt feel like a lot of thought is going into it.

Disagree, I'm engrossed with live feed at present, it's brilliant. Bitchfest Anonymous.

It's no worse than any other BB at this stage.

Well, from my point of view that's what the problem is. This is the first time there has not been at least one (and, granted, in most cases only one) HM that has grabbed my attention and made me want to keep watching and to root for him/her. For me HM selection is what it's all about. If they have some compelling HMs waiting to be introduced (or even one), they'd better bring them in asap, before too many people completely lose interest and just switch off.

But it's different for everyone.

Last year I was bored to tears until Aisleyne entered the house and she livened it up for me.

This year, I am interested in several of the characters, ranging from the "nicey nicey" twins to the over-intense Nicky.

Edit

And just as i posted the above, the live feed switched from Nicky at her most intense and an upset Chanelle, to the twins and Seany having loads of fun in the garden and not a care in the World. Then, back to upset CVhanelle/Nicky, then to Ziggy all laid back ignoring it all... then Charley, Carole Laura etc., bitching about something else. Now they've dragged Ziggy in to it LOL.

Brilliant juxtaposition by the directors, genius!

I get what you are saying Lulu. I haven't got any favourite, only one's I could see far enough, but unless we can see them in different situations, we can't form an opinion. All we are seeing at the moment is what probably happens, albeit privately, in any workplace.

Sounds about right. No structure just relying on gimmicks like new housemates to keep the ship moving.

Basically starting off with 11 women and adding 1 man 2 days later wasnt a great idea. Its the mix of men and women that bring the arguments and tension. It needs some more fellas in there to liven it up.

What happened to the 3 day tasks? Remember the Boot Camp task from BB5 and the Wedding Task, all that stuff was fantastic.

I don't usually like to be harsh on a Big Brother series and immediately label it "Worse Than Big Brother 4" when it's only 2 weeks in, but it does seem that the producers are being really lazy and not putting in any effort whatsoever.
