Somewhere Over The Rainbow

When was that last used on TV, I just listened to Israel thingy's version of it, and I am convinced its been used on a drama or something in the last week or so!

If you are talking about the version that has What a wonderful world in as well the last time I heard it was in Life on Mars in the very last episode.

I believe it was used by Five last week during the plug for Getting On The Property Ladder at 8pm on Thursday night.

Personally, I think Israel Kamakawiwo Ole's version is really good, up there with Eva Cassidy's. Sadly he died in 1997.

I think Cliff Richard did it in that style too, as for Eva's version just brilliant!

The artists name is israel kamakawiwoole. His version was used in ER when Dr Mark Green died. It has also recently appeared in episodes of Cold Case, the movie Son of the Mask, the end of the movie 50 First Dates, Tempted, Finding Forrester and the end credits of Meet Joe Black.

I thought this was going to be about that ghastly out of tune toothless child on Britain's Got No Talent. I wish they would give this song a break, it's in every version on every type of show ad nauseam, if someone else plasters it over a weepy scene or murders it again in a talent show I will scream, thnough not as much as the performers seem to.

wasn't that version once used in an ad for lynx deodorant as well? with a young couple in a supermarket as their clothes fell off or something? or perhaps i am imagining it.
