Sleep Task Rules...

50 hours - Starting in a short while...

Allowed 3 hours on the sleep timer between them.

Timer will start if any HM closes their eyes for more than 1 minute.

Not allowed to cover faces or wear sunglasses.

Not allowed to use the pool.

No hair straighteners or use of dryers.

Not allowed to turn off lights in bedroom.

Can't move bean bags.

Must wear outfits at all time - New outfits half-way.

Will get an alarm when 15 minutes of the sleep timer remain.

If they fail - BB can remove all food items won in last weeks task.

During the task they'll get opportunities to have minutes added to the timer.

Anyone remember the programme 'Shattered' where participants had to stay awake for the longest time possible?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shattered

Presented by a certain Dermot O'Leary...

I wonder who made that?

Yes. I thought it was exploitative and cruel. Interesting programme though.

so if they all have 2 hours sleep at the same time they will have 1 hour left on the clock but if the try to sleep seperately they can only have about 5 mins each?

If they all shut their eyes at the same time would they lose the same amount of time as if only one had shut their eyes?

1) Were you forced to stay indoors with the heating up all that time?

2) How many distractions did you have? they have none.

3) What drugs were in your system?

With the restrictions put on them, it is near impossible.

I think they should all agree to have 2 hours sleep at the same time. BB said , in the rules, they would sound an alarm when there was 15 mins left on the clock. That would wake them up

I think if they all had 2 hours at the same time, that would count as 28 hours.

It is easy to do 80 hours when you are only 20 and wired into some trance-inducing machine such as a computer playing a mmog. These poor people, however, have only each other. Oh dear.

I think they will add some time to clock regularly though.
Simple tasks such as answering a question in the Diary Room getting an extra 30 minutes or something. laura has spent most time in bed so she won't need much sleep now. Ziggy and Channelle can keep each other entertained. If they soak Billis hair he will go mental and spend hours trying to fix it all properly, without hair straightners so he will be occupied. nicky will be on all night Fridge watch. They can all help carole stay awake by throwing things on the floor. How long is the task going to be on for. It may not be that hard if its say 24 hours. Surely they have caught up on sleep since BB announced the task have they?

Edit: just noticed its 50 Hours. Sorry not the best memory when skim reading. still though if they do add enough time it won't be that hard I wouldn't have though.

Oh and they should have done this during boring bits of BB when HMs always went to bed at like midnight!

They will get very "shirty" with each other. Especially those that keep falling asleep.

Very tough... could be some "walkers"

I think it's quite doable (Is that a word )

Saying that I don't need much sleep a so I would say that.

They should eat lightly, plenty of fruit and veg and drink plenty of water.

If they eat anything stodgy or heavy they'll pass out.

You probably find a lot of carers have done this sort of stint in their time.
You get lulls, but if you get passed it you get a rush.

However,i do think that BB will be a little evil in this task, maybe playing certain types of music or sounds.

I have to give credit for this one, it actually sounds like a decent task. I think it could have been great with the BB2 or BB3 lot who would have really tried it and probably been quite inventive in trying to keep themselves entertained, it could fall flat with the bunch we have this time.

However, lets think positively, its original (in BB) and has potential to provide some great HL's. Hopefully the producers execute it well from now on and we can also celebrate that "hell" isn't just another reworked twist!
