Do we have to call sky to activate sky+

Would we need to contact sky to to enable sky+ now its free, or will they do this automatically? If so, I would guess their telephone lines will be pretty busy over the next few days so would it possible to upgrade via the customer services interactive button?

thanks

I think you'll need to call them, after getting the box to do a callback. I've never known Sky+ activated without a call - but then it's never been free before...

They aren't going to upgrade automatically, how would they know you even wanted it?. As suggested, do a callback, and then ring Sky to get Sky+ actvated - I'll be doing mine in the morning!
