Am I The Only One Who Doesnt Hate Ziggy?
Okay first off I know people will disagree with me but if you do try and be adult about it and not resort to insults because its pointless and makes you look bad.
Now by no means do I really like Ziggy or want him to win for that matter. Sometimes I think he has a very smug look on his face that needs wiping off but most of the time he seems the un announced victim. We see him having a hard time being in the middle of Charley and Chanelle while he is just trying to create a suitable living environment. I know he sticks up for Chanelle in her arguments but if your girlfriend/boyfriend was in an argument you would do the same. Also some people have a go at him for going on about the age gap between he and Chanelle...if I was in his shoes id be cautious too about dating someone 7 years younger. (Though granted I am 18 if I dated someone 7 years younger id be in a lot of trouble )For the most part I see Ziggy as being genuine to himself, I guess you could consider this topic as either a refuge for Ziggy fans or a place to in a mature way discuss why he should be liked/disliked. Thank You Nathan. |

You're not alone. I agree, as does my wife. He seems like a reasonably normal person stuck in an impossible situation. Not saying I like him or anything, but I really don't get the bitter, bitter hatred shown by some.

I don't hate him. I don't especially like him but I really don't hate him. I don't think he's a bad bloke, particularly as blokes go really. I feel rather sorry for him at the moment. It was hard for him in the first week, and he is now realising that his survival strategy in the first weeks (because I really do believe that's exactly what it was) is backfiring on him and he knows it.
I'm sure he really does like Chanelle, but you know I actually think that Chanelle would like some breathing space too and that's why she's always picking rows with him. She keeps telling him to go and sleep somewhere else. She feels crowded too! I think that she is, either consciously or subconsciously, trying to push him away. Both feel a bit guilty of this and so there is this push-pull dynamic between them which neither can seem to break. Charley's stirring doesn't help, but she's nowhere near as important in that dynamic as she thinks she is. |

I don't dislike Ziggy at all.He has said and done some stupid stuff in the house(Who hasnt?) but he seems to have amassed as large a crowd who hate him as Charley has but without as much reason. |

I don't hate Ziggy, in fact I don't hate any of them - not even Charley.
Those who hate suffer much more than those who are hated. |

I must say this has me quite relieved. I just have watched the forums recently and seen so many topics bashing the man and I dont quite understand what he has done to deserve it.

I like Ziggy. He's not my favourite HM, but I guess he comes near the top of my favourites list. To me, he just seems like a nice-ish, pretty average guy trying to stay sane in an increasingly contentious and bitchy environment. I find myself bemused by the extreme animosity that he inspires in some FMs.

I think Ziggy has got himself into a situation which he knows he can't get out of without it looking bad. Its called a no win situation which is of course where he's headed. However, he's just a guy who keeps digging himself deeper and deeper and I can't help but feel sorry for him.
Like others, I don't hate him or particularly like him either. I actually would like to see him in the house without Chanelle as I think he would be a lot of fun. |

I don't dislike Ziggy, i'm not a huge fan but i like the bloke, he has been annoying at times, as all the HM's have, i don't see the smugness that his haters see so often. I do think he has got into a situation with Chanelle that he is not entirely happy with, she does seem very immature as far as their relationship aspects go.
Some of the comments i see about Ziggy are totally uncalled for (the same for other HM's), i have noticed some people only go on about someone to belittle them, if you don't like the HM then why constantly talk about them? Say something they have done that really annoys you, then move on is my motto

I don't hate him, he isn't my favourite in there but he hasn't done anything to make me dislike him. I actually feel sorry for him sometimes, he is a bit more mature than most of the others and struggles to cope with all the arguing and lies.

I find it hard to dislike him to be honest. Although he does have the air of a politician about him at times. It feels a bit like watching Tony Blair sometimes, which makes me a little wary of him. But he's never really done anything to make me dislike him.
I don't really get the hatred of him on the boards. |

I like him too. I prefer men to have manners even if they are supposedly arrogant. Women apparently (according to new research) like arrogance in a man.
As for manipulativeness he has had to learn quickly after his first week so that he could survive. I like the more intelligent hms like Jonathan and Gerry as well. History being one of my interests I wouldn't find Gerry boring either. Last edited by Skeats : 04-07-2007 at 22:02. Reason: incomplete |

I don't hate Ziggy. I definitely don't feel sorry for him. He was fooled into thinking he was the King of the Castle by Big Brother. He made his own uncomfortable bed. Showing favoritism was a bad move. Using Chanelle another. All in one foul swoop.
