ITV - Holiday Showdown - Dropping out of planner?

Hi all,

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, but I did do a forum search and haven't turned anything up so...

Has anyone else seen their scheduled recordings of ITV's "Holiday Showdown" dissapear / get removed in the last two weeks or so?

I'm aware that this is usually down to the broadcaster, but it's happened 3 or 4 times now, including the scheduled recording of the repeat showing on ITV2.

As an example, tonight's showing on ITV @ 9pm was put in the planner 3 days ago, and was being checked about twice a day to make sure it was still in place. Last night it was still there, but this morning it was missing yet again.

No other programmes seem to be effected, box does not appear to have undergone a reboot overnight etc.

Just wondered if anyone else had seen this happen with this show, like the Dr Who episode a while back?

Regards

Yeah, i had the same problem.

I sometimes wonder if Sky Anytime has a big effect on this, as it updates constantly during the night.
The EPG can be great, but at the end of the day, you cant beat the paper's guide!

To Buy or Not to Buy on BBC1 every day keeps disappearing from my planner. I keep setting it up to series link but when I come home it has gone out the planner and nothing has recorded!

Thanks for the replies MixMeister2007, tigermad, and brownca, especially for the link. I think I must have missed that thread by doing a too specific search (using "Holiday showdown missing itv planner sky plus +" etc) but at least I've been able to confirm it's not just me now.

Looks like the advice is to try a planner rebuild, so I might give that a go if it happens again. Ironically, last night's episode of "HS" worked OK (and stops the misses moaning again, thank God!) so perhaps it's passed.

If I do find any permanent solution, I'll pop back and post it into that original thread.

Thanks again all.
