Future contestants will be more wary of eviction interviews in future.

All thanks to this fake twist. They'd probably have to spend more time thinking of alternative things to say *just in case* all the others happen to be watching them.

It's bound to happen. You have current contestants going on and on about the HND or Australia and America and Africa and Outer Mongolia for crying out loud.

It's more and more like the increased security measures at airports and the like - soon you'll no longer be able to trust anything whatsoever and become this completely paranoid, gibbering, shady wreck of a person. Way to go Endemol.

I can't see this part of the twist working in the way BB want. During their interviews, how often do evicted HMs say anything bad about other HMs? I can't remember any doing that. Not anything really bad.

Chances of them doing it twice aren't very high though are they? I wonder if they will still show who nominated them?

All they have to do is have Davina reassure them that it's not fake and that they're not going straight back in, and it will work out just fine.

It will work. They going to ask question's that will provoke the evictee into saying something terrible. For example. "Do you think Charley is argumentative?" "Answer Yes or No". Who ever answer's that will hesitate before they answer.
I don't think they will attempt it again. Plus, they can just ask whether it is fake or not.

I said it in another thread but what about if they don't want to go back in? Say if it were Chanelle (who has mentioned being scared of potential booing a lot) and she left the house, faced the crowd etc, she might decide she doesn't want to go back in?

Also, if someone like Ziggy leaves I think he'll just be so smarmy and won't have a bad word to say about anyone (not that that's bad, it just wouldn't be honest of him) i can't see anyone really ripping into their ex housemates except for maybe Charley and that's nothing new because she tells them all anyway

That's an intersting point - Big Brother breaking a fundamental rule of Big Brother. Perhaps this is the benefit of the fake evictee that will offset the downside of being seen by the other house mates?

Good thread. The thing is the future evictees would always think there is a possiblity their interview IS fake even if BB doesn't do this twist ever again.

But because of all these "twists" housemates are always really aware and they seem to always expect something to be going on. Although this could send the housemates into crazy paranoia about everything a la Kemal

I thought this when Davina mentioned first mentioned it. This could potentially ruin the post-eviction interview; often the only interesting part of which is the 'dishing the dirt'.

I've said this before with regards to twists, the more twists they have, the more it moves away from the what the show was and simultaneously ups the future expectation of the show. Twists don't ever 'fix' a broken show, they just break all the shows that follow.

The chance of them doing this twice aren't going to be high, no, but then, the BB-Africa thing only happened once and every year people seem to think that a trip to the diary room is going to result in a foreign holiday for some lucky house mate. Look how sure Brian and Charley were before they actually saw the caravan.
