Will the Installer ring Sky to pair the card with the Box and to activate Sky +?

Will he? Or do I need to ring up myself? I persoally hate speaking to Sky :P

He should get the box to do a callback, then phone and pair the card.

He should do it for you, unless Sky's computer is down which happens occasionally and then you have to do it a few hours later.

Yes I had Sky+ installed on Monday and my installer first did a callback (working telephone or VoIP line required) and then he rang the installers helpline and they sent through the signal which paired my card and Sky+ box together, it took about 2 mins so was fine. I was upgrading from an existing digibox to Sky+ but the procedure should be the same with a new install too.

viewing card

with a virgn install (when card and box are both new)
unless its a no phone line(the price for which has just gone up)there is no need to manually call sky the process is automatic from the first callback.
