Probably old news, but ...

... to quote from the Radio Authority web site report on the April meeting of the RA:

Chelsea Village Radio Ltd was granted a new licence for a service to be known as Big Blue. The licensee will provide a service consisting of popular music and sport. It will be transmitted for 24 hours each day, 7 days a week. The service will be in the English language. It will be encypted and carried on the Sky satellite.

Exceptburst Ltd was granted a new licence for a service to be known as The Saint. The licensee will provide a service consisting of popular music and sport. It will be transmitted for 24 hours each day, 7 days a week. The service will be in the English language. It will be encypted and carried on the Sky satellite.

Brandstand Ltd was granted a new licence for a service to be known as The Villain. The licensee will provide a service consisting of popular music and sport. It will be transmitted for 24 hours each day, 7 days a week. The service will be in the English language. It will be encypted and carried on the Sky satellite.

or in otherwords, the Chelsea FC, Southampton FC and Aston Villa radio stations have been granted licences for area specific broadcasting.

From the last Chelsea commercial presentation on Sky Sports Extra, Chelsea will be providing a television service from the start of next season on Sky Digital. It will be along the lines of MUTV. This has been confirmed in New Media Markets. :-)
