Screen Select (DVD rental)

Just wondering if I should sign up for Screen Select. Does any one use them? Any good? Or use Webflix or dvds365?
Judging from their websites Screen Select looks best but please tell me if this is true or not!
Thanks for any help.

As a user of Mailboxmovies.com I can say they are very good, and I've never had any problems with them. You can give them a free trial and find out for yourself! Good range of Dvds and quick delivery. If you sign up, you can quote my username (pauliedy2k) to get an extra discount!

I now use ScreenSelect. I pay £14.99 per month and that gets me up to 3 dvds per month, but at christmas they sent me a bonus 4th disc from my list.

Everything is well laid out on the site and you can easily modify your selection and change the priority in which your discs are sent to you. 1st class post is provided both ways and they are pretty quick at despatching your films (complete with the despatch confirmation email).

I've had no problems with them so give them a try. You get a free 10 day trial but just enter the offer redemption code FR33 and this ups your trial to 14 days. If you join up early in the day then up to 3 of your films will be sent out that day!

I have been using Screenselect for about 3 months and like Yeti said they are extremely efficient and quick, i wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Oh and Yeti, i must still be waiting for my Xmas bonus DVD! You sure they didn't just send a fourth out in error?

No reason why not. I had a trial ongoing with about 8 of these companies more or less at the same time before i decided for choice, price and overall service, Screenslect were the best for me.

You know I'll have to disagree and say Mailbox movies are the best!

I was a member of dvdsontap for about 4 months.

Not bad to start off with but they didn't buy all the new releases so the selection was limited and they didn't have a huge library of older titles.

Cancelled after a while, coz I got bored of what they had and ran out of things that I fancied watching ( plus the wait for titles was pretty long ).

I'm now with webflix.

They're SO great. Highly recommend them.

I watch about 2 -3 DVD's a week from them .. have up to 2 at a time .. and usually have a fresh one in my postbox within 3 days of sending back the last one.

They have a huge selection, loads of copies of most things ( some more arty titles movies you may have to wait longer for ), but they do buy in most ( if not all ) major releases ( arty and blockbuster ).

Also, if the disc gets lost in the post .. they don't bitch about it and just send you the next one on your list, and even APOLOGISE !

Great website too. Very easy to use.

That looks pretty good. Only thing I would say is the films looked a little old, but I suppose it's from a few weeks back now.

I'm a bit late in replying, but, no it wasn't sent out in error. They sent me an email saying that as they would be closed for a few days over the holiday period and with possible post delays they had despatched a bonus 4th disc for me. Initially, I received and email which they should've sent to someone else regarding their bonus 4th film but the next day they sent my despatch email out so it wasn't just me receiving an extra film.

I use Video island, I pay about £17 a month for 3 dvd's at a time which is well worth it if you rush 'em through I have at least 20 a month so I am paying less than a £1 a disc. The main reason I went for Video island is the size of their back catalogue which was larger than all the others (last time I checked they had 14,000+ titles compared to 5,000 - 6,000 for most of the others) & they have had most of what I have searched for!

Simmy, Screenselect are £14.99 for 3 so £24 of a saving per year and less importantly claim to have over 16000 and to be the biggest.

Size matters!!

Kacas- STOP!

Kacas, you need to return both DVds to mailboxmovies, otherwise they won't send another one out! I'm a memeber and I did it once, and they didn't send another out 'till I returned the other one!

It's difficult recommending movies as it's all down to taste but here are some i have seen recently that i i rate.

Horror/Suspense:

Roadkill
Wrong Turn
Final Destination 1 & 2
The Dentist
Braindead

Comedy:

Meet the parents
There's something about Mary
Liar Liar
