Dannii on Piers...

Thought she came accross fantastically well. She seemed really warm, genuine and compassionate. The Sharon Osbourne stuff was particularly interesting, she displayed a great sense of character and humility and made Sharon look extremely bitter and out of touch!

Does anyone else get a genuine feeling that she works really hard with her acts and takes her job very serious? More so than, Cheryl I'd say. The more I watch X Factor the more convinced I'm becoming that Cheryl is using it as nothing other than a publicity wagon!

...I would love to see her make a cracking record!

Yeah couldnt agree with you any more - I have never really cared for Danni before (I've never really liked or disliked her) but thought she came across as a REALLY nice, caring and funny person in the interview with Piers.

She really seems to care about her acts a lot more than the other judges and I now really like her

I've seen the interviews a zillion times now. Really loved both of them.

I can't wait for when she releases her new music!
I miss it so much!

Yeah absolutely! Pete Waterman said something about that this week, that the judges are being promoted more heavily then the acts. The fact that Cheryls poor solo material has done so much better in the charts than Girls Alouds last singles and album attests to that!

Yeah I definitely like her a lot more after that interview, which I suppose is the whole point. Though it wasn't forced or anything. She's a very genuine person who's had plenty of shit unfairly thrown at her.

The Sharon stuff just confirmed what we could all work out for ourselves during that series of the show. It was a shame that she was so looking forward to working with Sharon and then the reality hit, the bitter older woman jealous of her. I would love to see Dannii become massively successful in the industry in her own right just to throw it in Sharon's face!

Totally agree with you OP

I was talking to a friend about her interview the other day and we both said she came across much better than Sharon did.

I liked Dannii last yesr, but LOVE her this year, Cheryl IMO is showing herself up next to Dannii this year, Cheryl is coming across as fake and selfish this year, (and I am a huge GA fan, so I am not just slagging of Cheryl) Dannii is the only one that seems to really care for her acts, like she is now trying to help Ruth from last year and Rachel Addedji with their careers, phoned up one of the girls that didnt make it last year from her 6, just to see how she was, can you see one of the others doing that, I dont think so for Dannii this is more than the shows and the cameras, she cares about their careers, I have a HUGE respect for her now, all the other mentors just want to win IMO and wont be bothered with their acts once the show is over

We have already had a slew of threads about this from the first showing, but it was a good interview and quite open and interresting.

I wouldn't be too quick to judge Sharon, she was backed into a corner at X-factor and im willing to bet it wasn't all one-sided. Danni like Sharon is a strong woman, i'll bet she wasn't quite the victim she portrayed. You think she didn't give as good as she got? Please....if Sharon did nothing but give out crap and got none in return from Danni the holier-than-thou why did SHARON leave? Hmm?

There is 2 sides to every story.

There may be 2 sides to every story, but the fact that is is happening all over again with Susan Boyle shows what an evil cow Sharon can be. She 50+, but behaves like one of the popular girl bullies in the playground; she has a lot of growing up to do.

I thought Danni came across as a genuine and graceful person, it would have been so easy to just get involved in a slagging match, but she rose above it.

I am completely obsessed with her at the moment.

I've always liked Dannii, but love her right now.

Also I think both Cheryl and Dannii are very supportive of their acts.

Simon and Louis, while they can get attached to acts (particularly Louis) are in that business. They are used to saying no all the time. Whereas Cheryl and Dannii are never in the position of shaping other people's lives -- except for on X Factor. So I think they both take it harder than the guys.

I absolutely love Dannii and I was so happy to see that the real her was portrayed pretty accurately on Piers Morgan! So many people have branded her as "fake" or whatever, and now they've shown that she is nothing like what the media and people make her sound like. She is a very strong, beautiful and intelligent woman who does know what she is doing. I love her even more now
