You make excuses time and time again for all the flaws and weaknesses in Danyl's voice and for all his errors by saying he's doing this and meaning to do that and using this technique and using that method. Rubbish. What it boils down to is that he has a ridiculously unreliable voice and how something like that can credibly be described as a good voice is an offence to good singers. I can count on less than the fingers of one hand the contestants who I have seen go through a competition without having a bad week, the vast majority of them have one, but I can't remember any time before when a contestant has given one performance in four weeks that has been to an acceptable standard, one passable, one bad and one atrocious to add to the absurd performances at bootcamp and judges house, never mind from a contestant as hyped as Danyl. I have to laugh when people use the word "raw" about Danyl. He is a 27 year old with extensive experience in pop and other related genres and musical theatre, both stage and recording. Danyl is far from a raw talent, he is the finished article but this is as good as it gets with Danyl. |

Yes, it is. I don't hear him running out of breath on the big notes, not being able to sing the big notes, or 'consistently' hitting the wrong notes. That is my opinion.

It doesn't matter how many times you repeat yourself - it doesn't make you right.

His tuning is a long way out whenever he does lower register. I can't believe he is called the best singer in the competition by Simon. It's just weird.

To begin with, I thought Danyl had an average voice. I thought that he could hold a tune but it was nothing special. However, as the weeks have gone on, I no longer even think that. He has shown at least six times that he struggles to even hold a tune. Occasionally, he has struggled to find it in the first place.

Oh hell why is he not singing like this.. I cannot believe it, what is Simon bloody playing at stupid man.. the first one is excellent.. love it and have downloaded all three... thank you so much for this link..
Just gobsmacked and to be honest this is what I have been saying all along stop it with the big note that first song is how I want him to sing, beautiful and I tell you if he wrote this he is talented in that quarter as well. |

Yep, I agree 100% about Danyl's self-written songs and style of singing. He has an excellent voice and is hugely talented. Danyl doesn't always seem comfortable about having to hit the long, big notes. I wish he was allowed to sing in the style he likes on The X Factor. Fingers crossed it won't be a diva's song again this Saturday. |
