Hello grim and gilly

No further album news today yet then.

This weekend on XF is movie theme week (I'm looking forward to J&E already ) - so this is the ideal time to relive one of the best XF performances ever

Afternoon sweet....no more official news from anywhere today....we may have to wait till next week.

J&E look like they will be out to give us a laugh again this week.....can't knock it, we all need a laugh now and again!

That is one of the best X Factor performances ever but if we are looking for entertainment value this is the one to beat:

hmmm .. this interview was probably recorded before the final track list was decided buy I can only see one original track on the album .. the Walkie Roadie one.

Ghostbusters will suit Jedward sooooooooo much ... should be very entertaining

Greetings supporters of The Rhydmeister. Harriet - you can come out from the cupboard again, hee hee.

I notice the Official is down at the moment. Could they be doing some major updates seeing as the 2nd album is due soon? Maybe we'll get a new layout for the main page? Or maybe gremlins have struck!

*Theme tune to The Twilight Zone plays in a loop ...... *

Hi Neelia!

I saw two weird silent films this evening as part of my film class - Nosferatu and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.

Hi Diamond,
Yeah it was the black and white one from 1922, it was a US print I think, a US re-release changes all the names to fit the Dracula story.

ah right .. he is a scary dracula .. call me weird but I find the Christopher Lee kind of dracula's kind of hot .. and don't get me started on the True Blood vampires (well one in particular)

Perhaps Rhyd will be dressed as dracula on the album cover .. it would suit the title

Interesting Diamond because both kinds of Dracula/vampire are in the Bram Stoker story - when he's in Transylvania he's disgusting like the Max Schrek character, then when he comes to London he's more like the suave lounge lizard/Christopher Lee Dracula as he gets younger.

BTW, hi RATs

Awww....sorry M&S....it's not exactly convenient for me either, but I'm going anyway!
I just meant that the announcement that he was doing an album signing was good news!

Nah, just joking! I'm very happy for him and the fans who can go. I do wish he'd do something outside Wales as well, though.

News headline on DS:

WENN
Rhydian Roberts has announced that he will release second album O Fortuna on November 30.

The former X Factor contestant, whose self-titled debut record came out last year, revealed that he had more creative control over his latest offering.

"I had a much more free hand with this album. I could spend my career trying to reinvent myself but ultimately this is me as a real singer," he said.

"This is very much where I envisaged being when I was at music school. I'm made up. It's brilliant. And long may it continue."

The album, which was produced by Karl Jenkins and Nigel Wright and recorded between July and October, includes collaborations with Bryn Terfel, Catrin Finch and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa.

The record includes his own versions of 'Land Of Our Fathers', 'Myfanwy, 'How Great Thou Art', 'Anthem' from the musical Chess, 'Annie's Song' and 'O Fortuna'.

The album also has a new track, 'I Won't Let You Walk This Road Alone', written for Roberts by Grammy award winning songwriter Walter Afansieff.

Roberts' debut album shifted over 500,000 copies, making him the most successful solo male artist of last year.
