Isn't she glam! JR appears to be wearing a revolving bow tie.

RM, you are far more diplomatic than me. I thought she looked young enough to be his daughter!

Chris Lowrie reminds me a bit of that Marco who was on Big Brother 5!

No wonder James is always talking about Mrs Whale - she's a smasher! And I believe they've been together for years too.

Edit - According to his Wiki page, he and Melinda have been married since 1970. (Strange last line ) -

''He has been married to Melinda Whale since 1970, and has two children, James and Peter,[2] and owns three dogs.

James Whale is well known for his flamboyant and fastidious appearance, and as such does not present the aura of being "a man's man". However, there have never been any documented rumours of his being homosexual''.

Evening. I listened to Nick M (remember I had a very low opinion of him from his first attempt on LBC), anyway I think he is a nasty piece of woirk with a wholly inappropriate topic given the death of that poor man in Leicester Square. Needless tio say I shall avoid him like the plague in future. I don't care that he was trying to be contraversial. Bring back Bill Buckley please.

I heard him say that at the start of his Fri night/Sat morning show, chin, and decided I didn't want to listen further, as I already have hypertension and didn't want to blow a gasket! I think his point was that he disagreed with the term 'hate crime' and thought that all attacks on anyone should be seen as equally appalling.

Yes fine, all attacks are disgusting for whatever reason, but the day that people get murdered just for being heterosexual, and for no other reason whatsoever, then maybe I'll change my mind and agree with him. Until then, I'll say he was talking tosh.

Jim Davis said he put his view about the whole thing on his blog, but all I can see are references to his Friday shows.

Quite frankly I don't care what his motives or intentions were. He is quite clearly a nasty piece of work and I shall boycott his programmes. To me it is like discussing whether we have spent too much on a funeral after the death of a loved one. How much more appropriate and fitting to discuss the attack itself and the fact that you can be killed just for being gay even though we are in 2009.

It seems as if he was trying to be a 'shock jock' and it didn't work, especially at those hours of the morning. That's old hat now, anyway. I'm not a fan of his I'm afraid, and I do try to get 'into' a new presenter, and I have given him a few listens but it ain't working for me.

Because he always says that everybody MUST wear a poppy, almost to the extent that anyone who doesn't is anti-social and evil and unpatriotic and disrespectful and ungrateful. Apparently it's not enough just to donate to the cause, but it's compulsory to boast about it.

I know, I had to turn the radio right down.

H must be tired, or he wouldn't have revealed this (he's a fibber!) - he said his Dad sucked the chocolate off of chocolate brazil nuts and then ''french-kissed'' the nuts to H's Mum!

H is such a genuine guy but he must get a tad tougher and 'skewer' the likes of Kebab man by going to an ad, or inventing some other pretex to get him off air.

He had the opportunity - he straddled the half past news with him.

Thanks for the heads up, Fizz. Will have my finger poised on the FF button. I'm suprised he was given that much air time unless he had something of particular value to contribute of course. I can barely understand a word he says to be honest.

I did tune in for a sneaky ten minutes at some point last night and heard H mention the podcast situation. It'll be sorted by midday apparently. *sigh*

Loving the fact that he now refers to The Mayor as Maurice, thanks to good old Betty from Bow.

I have heard the Chocolate Brazil Nut Story before, RM - that's not to say he's not fibbing though.

Nice pics of the curry award. Never knew there was any such thing. Mrs Whale is a bit of the alright for an old gal...I pictured her different for some reason.

Tom Cheal and Whales producer are kinda tasty, wonder if they are in to cougars like me.

Poor old Clive and H were commiserating with each other at being left out of the Curry Awards, due to their late hours. They are both always talking about food, they should have had a special early sitting just for the pair of them!

Steve Allen was brilliant this morning, he was on top form. He had me laughing for almost the whole first hour, often giggling out loud - a strange sound in the darkness!

I paid generously for two yesterday and consigned them to the waste bin.

Wouldn't it have made more sense to have paid for two but left them available for another purchaser rather than throw them in the bin?

Yes, I would have preferred that course of action but there were extenuating circumstances and so had to take them, via a third party.

Seems a pity just to bin it. I pass mine on to the cat when I've done with it. Keeps her amused for hours playing with it.

J O'B took the opposing view to NF this morning and had a rant about 'poppy fascism'.

I wonder if they will change the title of the show to 'Have I Got New Labour Lies For You'?

I note the Weasel was out enjoying a curry recently, makes a change from the regular top table of corporate hospitality I suppose

As there's nothing going on the thread; this is completely O.T.
Nevermind 'Weasel/s', my cat now comes in smelling of FOXES having befriended them in his infinite feline wisdom . To add insult to injury, tonight the odour on his coat had changed to > women's perfume. He graces our portals like a lord and suits himself entirely!
A thoroughly spoilt beastie at home, I feel our efforts are being abused. Is there such a thing as Cat Borstal or can you advise?
