In my dictionary ugly means the same as unattractive. The latter may sound better but it means the same.

I know looks are to some extent subjective, but surely most would agree that someone like John McCririck is way uglier. In my opinion Lady Gaga is pretty fine anyway.

Blasphemy! How dare you insult the great leader of pop - Gaga.

That's neither nice nor necessary, frankly.

I think she's a good looking woman. Plus, beauty, eye, beholder, blah blah blah.

She's not a classical beauty, unlike so many other female pop stars. Underneath the costumes she's fairly average looking. But she's not ugly, and therefore not even close to a contender for the title of ugliest.

she's not ugly, but i don't think she is anything special. she's just an ordinary looking girl and what's the problem with that?

here's a shot of her without makeup

She's no oil painting, but Donatella Versace is far less attractive, IMO.

I think she is just normal looking,
A lot of celebrities, particularly singers are quite normal when you take away the make up, stylists, hair extensions, botox and plastic surgery. Gaga just decorates herself in a different way.
Also when someone is marketed as beautiful and perfect and a sex symbol people tend to accept that as "beauty" whether that was what they actual thought or not.

I think she's attractive and admire her for expressing herself through her clothing. Rather clever, in a few years she an re invent herself as a normal dressed recording artist.

Answer to OP: YES! I wouldn't wanna see her without that mop of fringe and hair covering her face but by my reckoning something between Pete Burns and an ugly variety of underwater creature.

I'm in two minds about this pic. I think she looks lovely here, but she looks a lot older than 23.

What nonsense is this. I don't have to be a brilliant author to know whether a book is good or not, I don't have to be a film director to know whether a movie is good or not, hell I don't have to be a carpet fitter to know whether a carpet looks nice or not.

Why on earth would someone's own appearance have any bearing at all on whether they think someone else looks good or not?

If one's own appearance mattered a jot when commenting on others, how have people like Anna Wintour, the aforementioned Donatella Versace, Perez Hilton etc got to where they have? None of them are particularly pretty now are they?

I think they were going more along the lines of people in glass houses kind of thing. Like there are probably loads of people sitting at home who are really ugly, posting messages bitching about how ugly they think someone who is probably far more attractive than they are is.

This thread is nasty and unnecessary, and I'm glad to see a lot of FMs disagreeing with the OP.

i hate pathetic shallow threads such as these, i think it says more about the op than lady gaga.

different strokes for different folks, beauty is in the ey of the beholder, some people need to grow up and get a life.
