And cheap filler on weekend evenings when there is hardly anything newsworthy worth debating.

There are elements of Cristo's show which are good, but feel alienated when he discusses the tripe on ITV all evening.

As far as LBC are concerned, X Factror and Strictly are 2 of the most watched programmes in the country. People will therefore talk about it between themselves, and on the radio. The tv shows create interest, and the radio shows are for people who are interested and perhaps can't watch, or watch and listen at the same time. I fit into both categories depending on where i am.

Haha, amazing. Absolutely correct. As far as I'm concerned.

I think it was mentioned here before - Steve Allen said he was doing Christmas Day 6 - 10am and the following week 6 - 10am. Which means he wont be doing New Years Eve - I am a grinch when it comes to New Year - so I hope H is on, and not taking that long holiday!

Don't worry, coulsdon, H has said that he'll be with us again for New Year.

Did anyone else notice - and be very irritated by - the traffic news report during the early afternoon saying more than once that Chelsea-Man U game starts at 6pm - we changed our plans this afternoon assuming that was correct and that with Remembrance Day in London presumably the game start time had been made later - it seemed reasonable because of police/traffic considerations so we believed it! But the game starts at 4pm as usual with Sunday afternoon matches. Is traffic news repeated some of the time i.e. recorded or was this a mistake that someone kept making with no-one else listening and correcting it? it's ANNOYING!

Last night I caught bits of Cristo's show, and he had a showbiz insider on air that spoke of an actor in Holby who was terminally ill. Watching this drama occasionally I wondered which actor this was, so researched the 'net. Nothing came up under Holby at all. I found out in the newspaper this morning it was Casualty's actor, Simon MacCorkindale, sadly to say. Wouldn't you have thought Cristo's informant would have known the difference, if that's his job?

I assume the show on Jazz FM is pre-recorded (or whatever the technical term is) but how does H find the time to do it, with working 5 nights a week??

He really will burn out at this rate.

Wow, just heard the huge Take That Wedding news. I bet Cristo has gone into meltdown about Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Gary Barlow getting married in Scotland this weekend. I'll have to tune in to see what the Big Man makes of this astonishing news as this is the first I have heard of this. Can't say I'm a fan of the group but well done though guys!

I flicked on LBC just before 9pm and heard Cristo play a X Factor novelty act followed by some Heart FM DJ moaning if they have to play them on their show. Off...!

Well I know when he first started on JazzFM he was live, because I e-mailed him there.

It really is a shame. Compared with Cristo's meagre brain power, Jedward would be Descartes and Kant. Unfortunately he has the mental capabilities of a Twix wrapper (contents eaten, obviously).

It must be live then, if that's what he told you, Martin.

As if he hasn't been busy enough, H has written a book which is due out in time for Xmas.
