V+ install today - V+ HD

Soooo had my v+ installed today, was really pleased that the engineer had a nice new samsung box. (had the sa box about two years ago and wasn't impressed)
when the engineer phoned up to pair the box he was told the box wasn't registered on the inventory and he said no bother I got another box on the van ! You know what he had two and he tried them both and he had the same problem. So he told me he needed to go back to the depo and get some more stock... Three hours later and I'm flapping that he will bring back an SA box ! But he didn't, another samsung and this time it worked ! Yippie !!!!

Just wanted to say... Virgin and samsung have done a great job with this box, it's lightning quick and very good quality ! In many ways better than my old sky + box ! ;-)

just wiat for next software update anytime soon ,and see what she can REALLY do,I've very high hope's M8ttysmith,it should be able to 'take off'.

But why is it £50 or £75 to swap a standard Virgin STB to a V+ one? It's not like it's a complex, time consuming operation just to change a box! The maintenance costs of the STB are covered by the extra £5 on M and L TV packs and included in the other packages.

It could even be delivered via courier and return the standard STB in a returns bag otherwise you get charged for it.
