One twin better than two?

Was just wondering what difference it might have made to the show this year if Sam or Amanda had gone into the house by themselves, thus not being defined as 'twins'.

I reckon a single twin would have a damn good chance of winning, but because there are both of them, neither will win (if you follow me), because they come as a pair and you couldn't choose a vote for one over the other...

Also one twin would stand a good chance of some romance in the house, but as it stands, the boys tend to see them as 'twins' eg Liam thinks the twins are fit...

Even though the twins do nothing to diffuse it, they have a really one dimensional image with not much depth, because they are just tagged as 'twins', simple as that. If it was either Sam or Amanda, they would have to have to emphasise their personalities a bit more.

I wish they could both win

I still can't actually tell the difference between them. But I think Sam is less girly than Amanda. I think Amanda wears makeup more often than Sam.

I agree. Get rid of one of them , preferably Sam and then one of them would have a great chance of winning. Loads of people have already labelled the twins as some of their favourites so if one of them went then the other would pick up loads of supporters.

P.S The psychic Santa incident was scary!

I agree. I would love to see their separate personalities emerge. They're not really that much alike and have totally different ways with them. Amanda is more outgoing and Sam is the quieter one. I wish we could see them on their own. I think we'd be surprised.

Actually maybe the real fun will happen when they both stay towards the final weeks, and then one goes.. or even they both reach the final! Maybe the beauty of having 'the twins' in the house is that at some point, they have to be separated.

But right now I think the HMs do see them as 'one' so wouldn't be able to nominate either of them.

Yes. agreed.

They are ok untill the final. If they are ever up for eviction, they have a huge advantage in a negative vote.

However, in the final, if people want a twin to win, then one of them has to be tactically sacrificed, cos its a positive vote. So , as Amanda is the most likely, twins fans should viote Amanda in the final, should they get there.

I strongly agree. Viewers have been robbed of the interaction of an extra housemate because they are a package.

I find them intensely irritating- but HALF of the dose we have been given may be just enough froth in the blend.

Do they possess value as individuals? My fear would be that without the twinnie gimmick there might be a lack of character to compete with Charley etc...

I just like them, they do make an effort to add some fun to the house.

I think Amanda has blonder hair, Sam has darker hair with blonde highlights! Hope I got that the right way around

It's a bit of a paradoxical question though.

If only one twin had entered we wouldn't be having this discussion at all. We would have one decent fun loving , non bitching hm instead of two which imo would be worse but I know plenty people think otherwise.
For the last couple of weeks they have been spending more and more time apart , their own personalities have now been established so it makes as much sense to separate Sam & Amanda now as it does Jonathan & Ziggy

They are just what the house needs , a calming factor of friendliness , happiness , quiet talking instead of swearing and shouting . They try hard and uncomplaining in the tasks .

They are needed to counter some of the big heads in there.

They are the only ones in there who are genuinely there for the experience IMO.

They did a house first, but it didn't count because Laura suggested it.

The pies and the Santa were both the twins alone, as far as I can tell.
