Sons of Anarchy

Recently reccommended to watch this and did, downloaded Season 1 last week and spent the past 4 days watching them, amazing show, couldn't stop watching, it confuses me that NO ONE in the UK has picked it up yet, does anyone know if at least FX have any plans to show it sometime soon?

It's very easy to get into and as already mentioned the cast is great, just the way the episodes play out is very well balanced between the storylines and home issues to the gang wars and shoot outs. I understand it got some pretty good ratings in the US but no one over here has taken the rights even though other countries have picked it up

I take it you don't recall him getting rimmed by Aidan Gillen (The Wire) in Queer as Folk.

Watched the first episode, and enjoyed it. My only gripe was how heavy-handed it was in setting up the characters and their relationships. But that's a problem with a lot of pilots.

I have to say, it was good to see Drea de Matteo back on the TV, she was great in The Sopranos.

I thought this was an excellent series & I'm surprised it hasn't been picked up by one of the cable channels over here - I'm looking forward to season 2

Wouldn't it have been easier and quicker to Wiki it? It's about a biker gang, called the Sons of Anarchy.

I've been playing GTA IV: The Lost and Damned, so I thought I'd give it a go

The trailers have been running on Bravo and Living from last night saying "Coming Soon To Bravo"

Bravo website says it starts May 12th!!!

Quote:
A notorious outlaw motorcycle club (MC) fight to protect their livelihood while ensuring that their simple, sheltered town of Charming, California, remains exactly that: charming.

The MC must confront threats from drug dealers, corporate developers and overzealous law officers. Behind the MC’s familial lifestyle and legally thriving automotive shop is a ruthless, thriving illegal arms business.

Charlie Hunnam stars as Jackson ‘Jax’ Teller, a man whose love for the brotherhood will eventually be tested by his growing apprehension for its lawlessness.

Watched the pilot last night and have to say I was impressed, its been picked up for a second season in the US as well which is good news.

I was quite surprised at Charlie Hunnams performance considering he was crap in Green Street......he was quite good in this

I took the plunge and watched the pilot. At first I was a bit meh about it: sort of glorifying violence/drugs/gun-running, but then so do a lot of progs. I stuck with it though and I have to say I did get into it, and will be watching next week. Lots of interesting people in it: Ron Perlman (Vincent from "Beauty and the beast"), Katie Sagal (Peggy from "MWC" and of course also Leela from "Futurama") to name but two. Like the whole idea of the show now, interested to see what happens when they encounter the ATF next week...

One question though (and if you haven't seen it read on at your peril....) --- near the end, when they were getting their guns back and they had the Mexican guy on the ground begging for his life, did Jackson not get shot in the back? Yet seconds later he's acting as if nothing happened. Is he meant just to be that hard, or did I miss something?

Anyway, it's on the series link now --- good call guys, and I didn't think I'd be into something like this...

He was wearing a bullet-proof vest.
