U C Undercover

Anyone watching this apart from myself?

It's not bad I don't think although some of it is rather OTT, like killing the team leader off after just 2 episodes, but overall I am enjoying it.

Good points:

The main female lead is good and nice looking.

The IT geek and the profiler are good.

Decent script and dialogue.

The pilot was vg, and William Forsythe is always worth watching. Steven Bauer's character was/is also good.

Bad points:

Fehr lacks charisma imo. Good actor but lacks something compared to Andrew Whatisname who led the team in ep 1 and 2.

The lead, Jon Seda, sorry, is bloody awful. All ott mannerisms and acting. Looks pouty and constipated at the same time.

p.s the 'scots' accent in this week's show was awful. I thought he was meant to be some IRA man from Belfast until 'Glasgow, Scotland' was mentioned!...

I am enjoying the listener also, not sure if I can pick between the two yet personally.

Tell you what I am really enjoying "The Border", this has become a don't miss programme in my house.

After giving this show 4 weeks, I have to say I'm getting bored with it & can see why it got cancelled quickly in the US. It's a shame as I thought it looked promising & with an above average cast for this type of programme. As stated above, the main male lead is awful. He seems to be sleepwalking through the role. I also think there are too many story strands getting in the way of each other.

In answer to the question above, The Listener is far superior although once again, the male lead leaves a lot to be desired. I presume this points to a stronger script with focussed episodes.

I applaud FX for bringing these little known shows to these shores & long may it continue, although, in the case of UC, I can see why it took 7-8 years before someone finally took the plunge!

Have to agree with you I'm afraid, especially on the to many story strands although according to the border thread FX may not be staying with it for much longer if it isn't doing very well in the ratings, I can't understand why they dropped "the border" with just 2 episodes to go it is far superior to this and the listener.
