Admit it, who laughed when Danielle died?

Watching it for the second time on the omnibus, I laughed even more than last time. The amount of time she was staring at the headlights was ridiculous. The 'acting' in the death scene was just crazy, and Ronnie's final scream nearly made me fall off my chair.

The editing was off, with Janine screaming off the forecourt about 15 mins before she hit her, what did she do, go to a drive in for a burger? Also Danielle looked a like a rabbit caught in the headlights, sorry, if I hear a car I usually get off the road.

Hi

I have just watched it again and Danielle had bags of time to move out of the way but just stood there boggling at the car and not moving an inch. I thought it was quite amusing and that drippy Janine didnt brake. The EE car lot must get their cars off Del Boy or Boycie.

No but I pissed myself laughing when Pat got run over by Roxie and when Fred Elliot died in Coronation st. They were funny as hell even though they were not supposed to be

not so much laughed, more a sense of relief that her whinging and constand shouting was over. although it would be funnier second time round.

i reckon in reality it was meant to be quicker than that but its just that the audience is supposed to see it longer.

I feel the need to post this quote again, as it sums up how staggeringly inaccurate the whole thing was:

Quote:
Having owned a GTV, I pointed out to the good lady that (a) it wouldn't have started (b) you'd have been messing around trying to get the windows shut properly and (c) something would have fallen off when she ran over the quite tidy looking girl.

I did. The whole episode was hilarious. One of the funniest Eastenders episodes I have ever seen but the sad part is, it wasn't supposed to be funny.

I just watched that again as well, I conunted and it was about 3 secs before the car hit her, you can hear the car coming, and then hear it screech, obvs Janine didn't see her straight away. As for where Janine went, I don't know as I am not a mind reader lol. She probably just went for a drove to come down, as I don't think she went to the park to tell Tiffany. Either way it was far from funny, but hey ho what ever tickles your fancy, let's hope none get's hit by a car near you

Anyone who laughed probably just doesn't share the same taste as other viewers. I thought it was an amazing finale, well written and gripping

I cried soooooooo much it's unbelievable! Even today when i watched the omnibus

But i do think it was pretty stupid as you could hear the car coming quite early on so she had plenty of time to move or for Ronnie to run out & save her!

Stupid EE i'm so mad with them!

I was like, "What!" I was thinking, maybe there's a chance she'll be alright, but then I'd already seen a spoiler on here, saying that Janine runs her over and kills her. And then "She's dead..." kinda confirmed it. I laughed at the bit where she got hit a little. But Ronnie's screaming really got to me.

Ronnie's screams were heartbreaking!

I cried so much. Don't understand how anyone could laugh? Yeah she didn't move, but she was frozen to the spot - that can actually happen. She just didn't know what to do.

Really? I thought it was an hour of the endless cliches and over-acting that EastEnders has become famous for.

Only about 20% of every EastEnders script is fresh material. The rest they just cut and paste from previous scripts and just change some of the names and move things around.

Compared to Emmmerdale, Corrie and Hollyoaks, EastEnders fails in the writing department.

They can NEVER do these scenes well, remember Christmas day stunts?

The scene after with Ronnie clutching onto her and Stacey/Janine and Roxy looking was good but the actual death was pretty silly.
