Eastendes Thursdays episode.

I have to say in my personal view eastenders has never been the same every since steve owens exit. From what I've read just after the exits a new exec came on board and I think since then it's not as great as it was. Never the less there have been some great storylines since them but Thursdays episode has to be, for me, one of the best episodes since the show aired. The acting and the writing was just first class. In all my years watching eastenders or any show for that matter I've never cried but on thurday when roxie yelled "baby" to Danielle tears just rolled down my face. It was really breathtaking. Anyone else agree?

The last 15 minutes of Thursdays and the whole of Fridays ep were the best I've seen EE for a while.

it was a brilliant episode, but the ending was rushed,un-imaginative and very lazy for these so called professional scriptwriters..well done to Sam,Lauren and Larry because they made that episode.

They say it would have been boring had Danielle lived, but what makes them think running her over is more exciting? its tedious and we have seen it at least 3 times before,it was absolutely rubbish

And that's the first time I've ever been broken hearted from a piece of fiction. I've never felt so upset when watching ee. They should have given Ronnie a bit of happiness by letting her spending time with her daughter. Would that have been such a bad storyline after watching her be completely miserable for months and months? I don't think so. It would be a relief for the viewers if nothing else.

it was emotional, but now i just feel like, what was the point of getting into this storyline if all we are going to see is ronnie ending up how she was already

Well i've never cried or come even close to crying whenever watching a film or something sad. But thursdays episode really did get to me, i didn't cry but i felt i wanted to and i had this feeling in my stomach and i'm a guy which is sad really. The bits that got me most was the "baby" part, "mum" bit and "i've been dreaming of this all my life". This was really powerful stuff and i've never felt like this ever. I think most people were emotionally attached to Danielle and were so desperate to see Ronnie and Danielle happy together. It did happen for a second but then got taken away and thats why it is so sad.

I agree.I usually take the mick out of those who cry and become emotionally involved, but this really got to me.Ive been so intrigued by what will happen when Ronnie finds out and now its like, huh? what was the point of this storyline

Exactly. Could you imagine the different storylines that could come out if she were alive. It would of been much more interesting to see what would of happen over the next few months. But for some reason the producers found this option to be more boring, how? All we going to get now is more miserable Ronnie and to me that's going to be boring.

Spot on. If the writers thought that reuniting Ronnie and Danielle would be boring, and that they would only be able to write stories about them getting ice cream together, then they should really sack the writers,as they are obviously not very imaginative.

There could have been so many good storylines,it had so much potential.Ronnie is a favourite character and the reason people were so interested in this storyline is because we wanted to see this relationship blossom, the aftermath of Archies lies, the revenge etc...eastenders have really messed it up

Thats the word i was looking for, your spot on too. EE tried to do to much on thursday and it really didn't work for me, the ending that is. All along i was expecting Danielle to come to the church and just come out with it and that would of been that for me.

Actually it was Ronnie that shouted Baby not Roxie, and it's Roxy not Roxie
