The Whoonie Inn (**LOM spoilers**)

Since our old thread 'New Dr Who Fan' is nearing a split being 299 pages long and since Tigger, our patron, is no longer a new Doctor Who fan having caught up with the rest of us now, thought I'd start us a new thread to continue our fan friendly, general chat. Spoiler free and without the negativity and cynicism that surrounds a lot of othe threads on this forum .

This is thread for who fans to chat and discuss who-related topics that don't merit their own thread or fit in with any current ones.

'Whoonie'? Is it too late to change the name?

It's short for whoniverse and it's the name fans in the origional thread were using to describe our collective .

A thread without negativity and cynicism, now that sounds like my cup of tea, especially after dipping my toe into the episode thread yesterday and coming out of it severely burnt....

you CAN be negative and you CAN be cynical

it's that kind of thread

provided
that one does not suggest that their opinions are correct and other's aren't

it's that simple and that's why this thread has got so big and without one argument or any bad feeling.....

so we want that to continue

welcome WelshNige

Cheers weedledeedle, I did post a few times on the other thread about where to find cheap Dr Who DVD's, and having read the thread from the start have to say how much I enjoyed Tigger Roo's journey from Dr Who novice to fully fledged 'Whoonie'....

As for those rules, I can live with them no problem....

Here's to a long and successful thread *raises his cup of tea as a toast*....

Just rewatched Planet Of The Dead this time in HD. Michelle Ryan manages to look even sexier than she does in SD .

To be honest, my dislike for yesterday's episode may only have come from being too distracted by MR in those very tight trousers

Indeed, specially when she squeezes through the hole she cut in that museum roof .

Heard there was discussion of a camel toe sighting .

I quite enjoyed yesterday's episode. From the press shots, RTD's comments and the trailer I wasn't expecting anything deep, dark or Moffat-ish what I got was exactly what I anticipated a big romp, some stunning views and shots of a Dubai dessert (). Gareth Roberts is an SJ writer so it was never going to be another blink was it?

No ... but he wrote The Unicorn and the Wasp, which was fantastic and one of my favourite stories so far. The thing about POTD was that it was neither comedy, or action (some parts were, but other parts were slow) or dark. It was all a bit ... "meh".

Anyway, enough with the negativity!

I love Doctor Who

EDIT: and as for the camel toe ... screen caps? (*bad Revenga ... BAD*)

I can see why they've avoided filming in HD now, the costumes and sets are a bit less convincing than in SD. Particularly the Tritovore and their ship.

Oh, bad Revenga indeed! If you or Sid post the screencaps, remember to warn the girls what they are so we don't follow the link...

Why? How do you know some might not secretly enjoy it?

I hope some women can overtly enjoy it.
I, for one, think, oh my, it will be soon bikini time and maybe, just maybe, I ate too much chocolate yesterday

Yesterday? Snacking on your easter eggs a day early were you?

If by 'ate too much chocolate' you mean you pigged out, then whether that's a bad thing depends on where your weight goes to .
