'No satellite signal'
Anyone else receiving this message when they turn their Sky HD on? I checked the signal strength and quality and it's all strong. I've had the new EPG for a month or so.
First time it's happened and not sure how to fix it? |

My box feels increadably slow too.. But if you get to the Signal menu, I have normal signal strenght, but just blue screen (And an evental "no signal being recieved") when I watch any channel. A power reset will solve this.. Until the next time that is!! Jon |

I had this too for the first time today (1:30 pm) - had to turn the box off at the mains for 15-20secs, then turn back on and wait ..... and wait ...... and wait until I was finally able to turn it back on. Came back with a signal strength of approx 75%.

I emailed Sky this afternoon! I am so fed up! In the past two weeks since getting the new EPG the amount of failed recordings becasue of "No signal" is 8 and last night a recorded film "1408" was almost unwatchable due to stuttering and sound cut outs! This morning "no signal" turned off and on and seemed to fix it! But going away for the weekend and not holding my breath for all planned recordings to record!
Really not good enough! £67 per month and these issues! Doubt Sky will care and I will get some emailed response along the lines of "we have no reported problems this end" |

I'll stick my head above the parapit and sugest you might have power supply problems on your boxes. A problem which sky deny exists.

I had this when I got the new EPG and some channels would never work like ITV HD west country and living however for me it was the COAX cable that had gone was also getting a lot of failed recordings but now my box is going very well after I changed it.
But for most people this is the PSU in the box which is going. |

In the past week or so I have had 8 failed recordings at night due to no signal, ever since the new EPG.
Before we got the new EPG we had about 4 failed recordings in months. The new EPG is pants. If this is what I have to expect from now on im getting rid. |

I've started getting this since the new EPG arrived and my box (4E3011) is only 8 months old. Surely this can't be the dodgy PSU problem already ?

Well the common theme here is Thomson and the new EPG , and not so much the model of Hd , any more that is guessing the reason
It will be very interesting to see how other boxes cope with the new EPG |

Look let's be clear, Thomson have no power supply problems what so ever.... a few anti Thomson owners just make it up and as for that Satcure bloke... what a cheeky sod. Bulging caps my arse.

I had two separate occasions of failed recordings this week due to "No Signal", I had to reboot it both times. It never happened before the new epg appeared.
Sigh, sky sort it please!! |

Loss is signal
Had the same problem as with two of my friends after epg update, we all had Thompson boxes 08 to 11, signal loss was on certain channels first, then gradually pixel breakup on channels, sky swapped all three boxes after we threatened to cancel even though we had no extended warranty, all three new boxes samsung are perfect. We hope the new epg download for samsung is better when we get it?
