When you get the pack in the post.

There's no point making new threads, just read the ones already there to realise nobody really knows the exact schedule. Just wait your turn.

Pace are now in the process of having new EPG uploaded with Samsung following shortly. Both should be completed within next few weeks. Amstrad will be last i'm afraid

June 1st if you go by the met office definition. March 20th by another (vernal equinox), June 21st by yet another. There really isn't an 'official' one. (the closest is the legal definition: The Summer Time Act 1972 defined the period of British Summer Time to start at 02.00 GMT on the morning of the day after the third Saturday in March or, if that was Easter Day, the day after the second Saturday. It was to end at 02.00 GMT on the day after the fourth Saturday in October)

Personally I don't like the June 21st one as midsummers day is June 24th and summer is more than 6 days long!

So either they've already missed it or they've got about a week.

Which is brilliant, as they should have time to improve the bugs.
Love my Amstrad even with the contrast stuck on medium not high.

June 21st is the official American date, and this is often wrongly used by the UK media as an official start for summer in the UK. The US date works well for the North Eastern seaboard of the US but does not really work for the UK.

In the UK there is no fixed date for the start of summer it being entirely dependent on the weather. According to the met office it is usually around June 1st.

The Summer Time Act relates to Daylight Savings Time (which in the UK is known as British Summer Time for historical reasons) and has nothing to do with then summer itself starts or ends.

ours is stuck on medium too but as said, that is what i would have set it at anyway, besides, our TV allows for tweaking of the picture settings per input so can get it spot on

no rush for the new EPG, old one works fine

Ask Sky- they'll blame it on the postal strike.
