If a black (or mixed race) person votes for a black person, it means they hate themselves?

Most of the housemates are white, so it isn't surprising that she hangs round with white people most of the time.

Well she shouldn't make false claims about expecting to have a connection with the black ones when she has shown quite the opposite.

If she had at least tried to make an effort with the two black hm's this wouldn't be an issue.. added to the fact she brought up the subject of race in the DR makes her seem all the more insincere.

What the hell does race/colour have to do with anything? Why is it even being made an issue of?

If there's a housemate who's being overly aggressive, calling people a mf, talking jibberish, being openly sexist, spitting all the time, constantly sniffing, behaving highly immaturely (even for an 18yr old), sticking bananas up his bum, hiding peoples' mattresses, sticking his bare bum on the kitchen surfaces, then I couldn't give a hoot if he's black, white, or purple with green spots, it wouldn't stop me from nominating them.

Then again, I'd still nominate Lisa, Charlie & Kris ahead of Cairon though, heh.

there is very little on google about her apart from the real world stuff. And there aren't too many black men in dublin so maybe she hasn't had the affinity over here that she thought she might have felt

Maybe she actually believes in judging someone on their own merits rather than on their skin colour. I'm gay, and I've really disliked many of the gay housemates that have been on BB over the years. Does that make me "self-hating" or "homophobic"? No. It means that I judge people as I find them. If she liked/disliked people because of their skin colour, then that would be superficial and ridiculous.

Race is an issue because she mentioned it during her nominating of Cairon.

The point that she was making was that she didn't want to try because of Cairon's off-putting behaviour.

I don't see a problem with sincerely believing there might be a connection based on ethnicity but it is true that today one never really knows what culture is going to come out of a person.
