How I Met Your Mother - E4 *NO SPOILERS* UK Pace
I contacted Channel 4 to say they should consider getting the rights to How I Met Your Mother, to show with The Big Bang Theory as it has proved popular in America. I got this reply this morning.
Thank you for contacting Channel 4 Viewer Enquiries regarding HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER. We have purchased the rights to show the first 4 series of this programme. We don't have any scheduled dates available for this programme at present; however, we would advise you keep an eye on TV listings for any updates. The website address is as follows: www.channel4.com/listings Thank you again for taking the time to contact us here at Channel 4 and for your interest in our programming. Regards, Penny Watson Channel 4 Viewer Enquiries |

Yes! Brilliant news! Just hope they start showing it soon. Only seen the first two series and was starting to think I'd never see the rest - and if it is shown on C4 and/or E4 it's bound to get a UK DVD release too....

Suspect this is going to air on E4 in the 7.30pm slot before Friends and after Hollyoaks with new episodes on Thursdays. Certainly a Big Bang Theory/HIMYM combo would do well for them now that My Name is Earl is axed.

What about Scrubs?
How I Met Your Mother has gone extremely down hill, especially how they totally miss handled Sarah Chalke. Do you have an email address I could contact. With how much a failure it was for BBC Two and didnt do much better on Trouble is there really a need for this show? Well Barney innuendo is pretty clean I guess. |

Will be interesting to see if the episodes are edited much what with the enthusiastic cutting of The Simpsons and Friends.

This is brilliant news, i've been missing it since season 2 ended on Trouble.
Hopefully they will air season 3 sooner rather than later.

I could never see what everyone raved about in the show. I love some of the cast (Doogie, Willow) but it just left me cold. It felt really old fashioned and forced, somehow.
I'll give it another go if Channel 4 air it. Maybe I'll enjoy it this time. |

[E4 Announcer Guy]and now on E4, two brand spanking new teleprograms in what we are calling the "CBS sitcom Double Bill", bring on the funny[/E4 Announcer Guy] |

Now all C4 have to do is stick both HIMYM and Big Bang Theory on a Friday night from 9pm.
Come on C4, you know you want to. |

I'm not too keen on Channel 4 after the BB Live Feed debacle but BBC 2 didn't treat HIMYM very well either, showing it in the dead zone of night.
Hopefully E4 will treat it better and show it like they did with 'Big Bang Theory'. |

Excellent. Hopefully it will get a nice prime 9.00pm slot so they don't cut it to ribbons. I think people who used to watch Friends at that time will be plesantly suprised by the show.
It's definitely one of my faves

I just posted about How I met Your Mother in another thread. I said that I had watched all 4 seasons and I thought it would be perfect for E4 especially now that My Name Is Earl has been cancelled. So its great news to find out that channel 4 have got the rights to all four seasons!

I like this show the one or two times o saw it but can't understand where it will go.
Won't he eventually have to tell them how he met their mother and end the show? Or will viewers not get bored watching him go round in circles. Unless this has already been addressed? |

I've just been browsing the web to find out more info about channel 4 getting the rights for How I Met Your Mother and i have just found on the channel 4 website that they seem to be looking for sponsership for it.
http://www.channel4sales.com/adverti...ip/coming_up/4 so it seems definate that channel 4 have indeed purchased the rights

Watched this whole show online, within about a month. Absolutely love it, it's just so funny and the characters are all great, well except Ted lol, he's a bit of a bore but the others make him tolerable.
Barney and Robyn are my favourites and I am crossing everything that they end up together in the end, they are made for each other! Can't wait to watch this on an actual TV lol I missed it completely on BBC, randomly watched the first episode when bored one day and had to keep watching to find out who the mother was, never knew it was take this long! Was so happy when it wasn't Becky From Roseanne though, she was a terrible character/actress, really annoyed me. She was like the Charlie character in Friends, a bitch. |
