My condolences and with the deepest of respect if he truly has died, but this will be food for the conspiracy theorists.

Millions in debt and realises that he can't deliver on a 50 gig comeback tour, so he fakes his death, assumes a new identity (which he's been trying to achieve for many years) and disappears?

From hearing the family spokesperson and the few things that have perhaps been said without them thinking first it does sound very much like he was on heavy pain medication, and having trouble rehearsing for the concerts, and yes he had serious debt and legal problems. He is easily the most famous person on the planet though, he could not just hide somewhere - and you have to work out that the ambulance people/coroner and hospital staff etc are just average joes and could never be expected to keep any kind of "conspiracy" quiet - it sounds more like he either did himself in or just put his body under so much stress he couldn't cope.

I think there will be a lot of stories that come out about him now that show the real person rather than the public one.

Lionel Richie saw him on Monday and said he didn't look very well at all.

Sadly I think his lifestyle just caught up with him, nothing more complex than that. Not that that will prevent the consiracy theory industry going full throttle.

Of course there will be conspiracy theories there will be people out there convinced that Elvis is still alive or Tupac (releasing so many albums since he died hasn't helped)

his brother released a statement and the poor guy was devastated.
I would have ? it if it had all been shroud in mystery but we have been openly able to see him arrive at hospital and his shroud being airlifted to coronor for the autopsy.
But jermaines statement confirmed it conclusively for me tbh.

Well....any conspiracy theory wouldn't be restricted to just the idea that he killed himself.
There is the other more sinister main alternative. One which has already been suggested about David Carradine.
