True Blood - Season 1 - Channel 4 Pace (No spoilers)

True Blood starts in October on Channel 4.

As a Twin Peaks fan the DS article caught my eye and I think the show looks promising.

Anyone else looking forward to it ?

Bit early for a thread, but don't go into the FX pace one, or you will certainly get spoilers.

Surely by the time 4 show it everyone will have either downloaded it, bought it on itunes, watched it on FX or got the DVD.

And C4 are cutting it to get more viewers at 9pm apparently.

Cutting it? That's stupid. Ah well. I'm watching the full unexpurgated version on FX anyway. Definitely worth having Sky for!

Given the first 4 episodes I think Channel 4 will have trouble filling more than about 20 minutes if they cut!

Good I would like to see it as I have heard so much about it to see what it is like and hope it does well over here as I understand there is a second series being done in the US

I have seen some and it is superb.
However, I see above people saying C4 are cutting it for 9pm broadcast?

Well, they will have to cut a lot I would think, and that would spoil it. Its completely an adult show and they need to treat it as such.

I would recommend getting the DVD's if you can, rather than watch a cut version and risk that the story will lose something because of it...

Too many spoilers on the other True Blood thread from people who have seen Series 2 so giving this a bounce for anyone who doesn't want to hear about characters who haven't been shown yet.

Anyway this is probably the best show on TV for ages. Can't really fault it at all except Channel 4 have too many ad breaks for my liking.
