Filming starting is normally my cue to stop following the pre-season rumours and speculation, because they usually turn into soild out-and-out spoilers, and I want to avoid them... somehow... I think it might be a bit difficult in the lead up to season 6, though!

Enjoy the thread guys, I'll be spending the next six months struggling not to click on it!

Very exciting news that Hiroyuki Sanada is going to be in Season 6 - that's a major coup and I'm sure will increase ratings in Japan. Great actor - his best is "Twilight Samurai" IMHO, though more people will have seen him in "The Last Samurai" with Tom Cruise, where he didn't have a great deal to do.

how many days left!! i cant wait any more,

so we can presume that they get off the island, or in the very least we are going to see action off the island that will have consequences for people on the island? i think that guy that has been said to be a translator giving some news to some one will have something to do with jin or sun?

It's safe to assume that we will have off-island action as the first episode is titled LAX. Still wondering if that might indicate that flight 815 will land in Los Angeles? Perhaps that's why so many 'dead' characters will appear again in Lost?

Anyway, the next months will be very slow and agonising, anybody know any tips on how to hibernate until Lost comes back?

The title is LA X, with a deliberate space so I wouldn't assume they arrive safe and sound at LAX just yet.....

I shouldn't be in here at all since I'm well behind the rest of you. But S4 was delivered last night and I'm already four eps in.

Given the Videos at the Comic-Con - Thats exactly what I suspect.

But it creates a Paradox, if the Nuke in the past prevents the crash in the present, then no-one ends up on the Island.
But, if no-one ends up on the Island, then there is no-one to ensure that the Nuke is detonated, and so there is no nuke, and the plane has to crash

But.. then.. think of Star Trek, the one by JJ Abrahms ..

It has an alternative time line caused by something similar.
Damon and Carlton said that this was a clue in the Podcast - is that what happens?

And if it is what happens, won't the story focus more on Jacob and his attempt to kill his presumeably still living broter?

Flipping amazing, though it might have been one of those eps that divided people, especially physicists/hardcore SF fans and the more idiot end of the scale where I sit. I felt Desmond's fear and really like the new characters.

I didn't spoil myself much on this one so my opinion is solely my own.

It took me a while to see this possibility but what if it did create a paradox, what would that do exactly?

PS I think I have the answer...

I'm tempted to actually book a trip to America to be there for the night that the final episode airs. Going to be awesome.

No it isn't. The creators of Lost have already stated that a lot of fans are going to be disappointed in the way it ends. I'm preparing for tears and sadness myself.

They've rebuild the Flight 815 interior so some scenes must be filmed inside the plane. Maybe Season 6 kicks off with 815 landing at LA X, everybody getting off safely... before it all turns out to be a dream for Jack who wakes up after The Incident.
Might make a good start to the season and could explain the cameo's of the dead Losties.

However I hope that Boone, Charlie, etc... will be back for something more!

I wonder if we're in for a "Final Destination" type plotline where the plane lands as it should have in LA but they all end up at the Island anyway.

Well since the church was controlled by Dharma and Dharma had the Lamp post at the church and the lamp post predicts when and where the island is then it can essentially send supplies to any time or space that the island may be in when a restock is requested.
