Last movie you watched? (Part 2)

Che - Part Two

Not as good as part one but a thoroughly enjoyable romp through the jungles of Bolivia with Del Toro in fine form as Guevara. Love him or loathe him that guy had balls.

7/10

Warlords (Jet Li) - 7/10 okay, but really just non-stop mass battles and the inevitable 'everyone dies' Chinese ending. You'd think it would be hard to make such stuff a bit dull, but you'd apparently be wrong.

Regards

Mark

Sunshine Cleaning- 8/10..
Really liked this. Uncomplicated, character-driven indie film.. Another brill performance from Amy Adams, who just can't put a foot wrong these days..

Is 188 pages the full on maximum of topics then?

Cloverfield 6/10. Let down by the turgid opening 20 minutes.

I think it was my review of 'North Sea Highjack' that finally made that thread plunge to such a low point, it could never recover...

First time I 'killed' a thread of that magnitude. My apologies.

The Early Bird, Norman Wisdom, BBC2 this morning!

Brilliant 9/10.

It occurred to me this morning that little Norman must have made me laugh more than anyone else, over the years. One of my comedy heroes, for sure.

Van Wilder: Freshman Year - 4/10

Occasionally amusing, but it's essentially just a retread without the laughs or Ryan Reynolds perfect comedy timing. The original is one of my favourite comedies, but the production company seem to be doing an American Pie and milking it for all its worth with a series of lame spin offs/sequels. No Ryan Reynolds, no Van Wilder.

I'm a bit surprised that it's an 18 too, could easily have been a 15 imo.

Coco Before Chanel - 7/10. Felt like a reallllly long film though, and was surprised when it clocked in at under 2hrs, which might sound like it's at odds with my good opinion of it. Well worth a watch.
