Newbie

Hi Everyone
Hope you don't mind me joining your group, been lurking for a while and you all seem so nice. I have become disillusioned with another site I used to go on regulaly.
I love Gene Hunt and Philip is such a lovely person in real life. You normally get a great charater then find out the actor is just awful.
Anyway just wanted to say hi. Love Shazr

lolly, I can't quote from your post, because it's in the "Part One" thread, but in answer to your question, the episode you are looking for also had the actor that used to play Dirty Den in Eastenders if that's any help.

Can't remember what it was about as i didn't see all of it, just luckily spotted our man!!

Thanks for the welcome Bolly69. Are you on any other A2As or PG sites then?
Someone mentioned Mage of The hearts fan fic, she is really good and loves PG bless her.
My fav ffiction author has to be Cats Tale she wrote the brilliant 'Hearts and Flowers' story. Just amazing

Shazr,

I occasionally pop over to Luigis forum and the railway arms forum. I've just started following dean andrews on twitter, hoping for titbits when filming starts!

Love the A2A fanfic, and hearts and flowers is great. I have just started my own, up to chapter 2 so far!!

I have seen the Wycliffe episode a couple of times.Phil's hair is quite longish, he fancies a blonde dectective in it. It's quite cute but he isn't in it much.
I saw a clip of 'The Stepfather' on u-tube I so want to see that. Also he did a detective one off thing where he worked with Michelle Collins (Beth's friend apperantly) it was called Lloyd and Hill and it looks great, they have a big snog! But it is like gold dust so hard to find. Shame

Manifesto

We the afore-signed ladies known collectively as “Hunt’s Housewives” do hereby commit to the following .....

To wear something slutty whenever possible, but without fail on dinner dates entailing pizzas with stodgy and ill-matched ingredients.

To devote an entire cupboard to Heinz tinned meals, especially spaghetti hoops which should be in constant supply when demanded at short notice.

To remain calm, but suitably awe-inspired when driven at excessive speed around dubious parts of town, ensuring that any gasp emitted should imply wonder at the driving skills rather than mortal terror.

To get up an hour earlier than necessary to inspect, clean and maintain cowboy boots, de-fluff and brush long black coats and wax and polish gloves.

To keep and maintain a varied assortment of stamps and ink-pads, ensuring that they are kept moist and ever-ready for immediate use.

To regularly and willingly proffer posterior for afore-mentioned stamping, maintaining a dignified demeanour throughout, becoming neither too outraged nor too excited by the process.

To change drinking habits to ensure consumption, almost exclusively, of cheap Italian red, which shall be downed swiftly in a distinctly feminine yet enthusiastic manner.

To refrain from keeping company with beardy weirdies, especially those with disturbingly floppy hand movements.

To fire up the Quattro when so ordered but never, ever drive off in it.

To at all times speak with a crisp cut-glass English accent, avail oneself of feminist learning, and display one bra strap at least three days a week.

To use the RV wisely - as a sign of enduring respect for each other and as a bolshy 80s-inspired rebellion against anyone who ticks us off.

To remain undeterred by judicial ruling or penal code in the quest to seek, find and fornicate with Phil Glenister.

Well, this has totally bemused me! Our beloved thread - consigned to the scrapheap. And poor old D.I.Drake no longer officially the thread 'mother'.

What I find most puzzling of all is the timing of this thread splitting! I mean, if it had happened after we'd reached some sort of significant round number, I could have understood it. But to be cut off almost mid-thoug...

(For the record, we made 6335 posts over 254 pages!!)

*shrugs and sadly waves goodbye to the disappearing original thread*

Ah well. The show must go on, I daresay.

Welcome, Shazr! Lovely to have you aboard. I hope you enjoy reading the HH manifesto - it's quite a giggle!

On the subject of fanfic, I have to say that I've been keeping away lately because I seem to be able to get lost in that wonderful world for hours at a time! But I absolutely loved Hearts and Flowers and Storm in a D-Cup.
