you really do have to wonder sometimes, perfect time to start the new thread would have been during the summer break, but no, has to be done slap bang in the middle of a gp weekend

We'll have to Blame DS Mods.

I've seen a static orange used on the FIA Electronic Flag Displays during the FP1 yesterday when it started to rain.

I guess that was the equivalent of the red/yellow slippery-surface flag.

I'm guessing 16,000 posts must be some sort of limit in the DS system?

The old football commentaries thread went over 20,000 (still on page 1).

I think every few months they just split them as they start to cause instabilities, there's no specific limit per se.

Amazing that the thread last year in total had 11,384 posts - yet we are only just halfway through this season and we've had 16,000 posts!

With the Practise sessions now on the TV, and all the interactive stuff, and classic reruns, we have more to talk about.

Looks like the Side-Cam on Vettel's car is now also a HD unit:

Also the Pole-Cam in the pits was used more today & does seem to be a smaller version of the Vortex-Cam they have at turn 1 that goes up & down.

He was 18th out of 19 (Webber didn't set a time).

He was 1.667 secs off the pace, with Nakajima just 0.023 behind him.

Ferrari's slightly mocking press release is surely the best indication that Badoer won't be the car in Monza.

15,000 of the 16,000 were all on the same topic with everyone repeating themselves going round in circles.

I think we shouldn't mention that topic in this thread at all.

I think it's a little wobbley at the top of the pole. May need a stronger pole.

What's he on about? Of course you can simulate the race and work out who will be where. Computer games do this without much effort, and obviously this is only a rudimentary simulation so McLaren's and the other teams' simulations will be pretty accurate I'm sure.

You can simulate anything with enough processing power and clever programming.

What happened there? The top 15 are upside down!

Hopefully we'll get a Suzuka 2005...
